Reverend Jessie with Genesis still inside him, has been captured by his family; the people responsible for the deaths of his parents. With him and Tulip captured, Jessie finds his power to control people with his voice doesn’t work on them so it may take some real divine intervention.
This series is batshit crazy! It has everything I loved about The Boys without anything from The Crossed (I’m not linking because fuck that series). The mayhem has this dark humor I feel guilty for laughing at but Preacher doesn’t turn my stomach or hurt my logic-brain like The Crossed. Even then, there are these touching moments that rip your heart out. I am loving these characters and the -give-no-fuckitude nature of the writing. I can see myself chilling and having a beer with these characters but the fact I would probably get shot or blown up being near them… This series is just sacri-delicious. 4.5 out of 5!
