Shop Update: Baby Blanket

This won’t be the final photo for the shop but this blanket is done! It came out 29in x 32in and is made of acrylic yarn so it can stand up to being washed. I’ll be posting it in the shop when I have some nicer pictures to make sure the colors pop.

Only a few dozen more skeins of yarn to go…

Needlework Update

wp-1651889815505I’m not sure I want to talk about how I completely forgot I had a yarn bowl and how much easier my life would have been if I’d been using it this entire project…

Anyhoooooo, I was gifted with a bunch of pink yarn and after the last blanket I made, I figured I could add to my shop with more like it. My plan is to use a different shade of pink as a border once I get this main part as long as I want it to be. I did push myself too far and need to rest my hand for awhile but I’ll post more progress pics when I get to the border. It’s gonna be really simple so, it should work up fast and it’ll be in my shop soon!

Finished Baby Blanket

IMG_3583

Too long ago, my cousin had a baby and seeing as how I crochet very slowly (and used to have people actively hindering me from doing needlework but thankfully, they go hinder someone else now) I still hope the little one can use it now that it’s done. It’s a very simple blanket with a black border; both acrylic yarn so you can wash the dickens out of it. This took a giant skein of pink yarn so this is a pretty decent dent in my stash!

This one is a gift but eventually I’ll be selling these as well. 🙂

Thursday Threads – Finished Scarf!

IMG_3399

It’s finally done! 😀 I made this scarf for my little demon seed. I started it when she was just a little mush ball. For some perspective, she’s 6 now.

See why I’m making an effort to clear my yarn debts?

Next up is a baby blanket for my cousin’s baby girl. Hopefully, that will be finished before she’s a teenager. :p

Paying off my debts.

A funny thing happens to people when they find out you can do a thing. All of a sudden, everybody wants you to do it for them. And since I’m a people pleaser (me and my shrink are working on that) I keep agreeing to make things for people. This has resulted in what I have called “Yarn Debts.”  I can only crochet or knit at a certain speed but I would still like to get things done so I could finally let go of my guilt.

Here are the projects I’m trying to finish:

IMG_3280A scarf for the Demon Seed.

IMG_3281A baby blanket for my cousin’s daughter.

IMG_3282 A scarf for Misfitlibrarian.

This is the progress I’ve made so far and I’ve been working diligently on these before I start anything new. Much like writing more than one story at a time, I am trying to finish what’s started before starting anything else. :p

Till my tendinitis flares up. Then you all get to frigging wait because that shit hurts. >_<
