Today’s Workout: More Progress?

I weighed myself again today and I was 204.6 but I take that with(out) a grain of salt. That little tick downward was probably just water weight. Actually, if I think about it, all of what I’ve lost the last couple weeks is probably water weight. Hey, I’ll take it.

The big challenge is as of today, no more Saxenda. I’m probably going to be really grumpy… But I have plenty of coffee to act as a natural appetite suppressant.

This flavor was really good. I might try mixing this one with the cookies and cream one. I bet it’ll taste like pumpkin-flavored Oreos! But I’m a freak and I think chocolate and pumpkin taste good together. One of my favorite fall treats is the Trader Joe’s muffins baked with chocolate chips in them.

Maybe that will be the first thing I eat after NYCC is over.

Today’s Workout: Fueled by ghosts

I’m enjoying trying out the Dead Sled coffees I have around. This one is cookies and cream and even though I put too much cream in it, I like this one. It’s really satisfying.

Today was just the desk peddler since I had a lot of work to do at work and tonight I’m working on finalizing my new story to release on Friday. I just want to make sure things flow right and I catch as many typos as I can before the book releases.

My MyFitnessPal account is public if you want to friend me on there but as you can see, I have lost 2 more pounds. I’m 206.8 now after creeping back up to 211 when I took on this challenge to fit into the cosplay dress. There’s exactly a week before NYCC and maybe I can drop another 2, fingers crossed. I don’t feel any different; other than accomplished with what I’ve done so far. I’ve lost 25.4 pounds since I started the Saxenda. The real challenge now is to keep up the progress off of that medication. The side effects are NOT something I want to deal with while spending hours walking around in the city or Javitz Center with public bathrooms as my only option AND wearing a costume. Noooooooo thank you!

This is almost the last of the chicken and sweet potato I figure there’s one more meal’s worth out of those leftovers which is perfect because tomorrow I work late and have to bring two meals to eat instead of one. I plan on making my usual meat and bok choy to use in my electric lunch box. Misfits Market has been on point with the bok choy lately. They don’t always have it and I just can’t get broccoli from them anymore.

Now, I’m back to typo hunting…

Today’s Workouts: Starting the day right

Ahh, spooky season is upon us and I finally cracked open my Elvira Deadsled coffee. I have some other kinds I’m going to try soon, too.

Since I had some meetings today, I used the peddler rather than just sit there. It’s easy to forget how long you’re peddling when there’s something else to pay attention to. It was a productive day; got a lot of work and side work done. My previous post was the cover to my current soon to be published work so I’m pretty happy about that.

Since it’s the upper body that’s not fitting in that dress, I’m still working that area. This week is my period so I am super nervous on trying on the dress to see if I made more progress. I tend to horde a lot of water weight and even though I logically know this, it’s still going to feel like crap if it fits even worse.

In terms of what I ate today, it was just a repeat of yesterday. If the food is good, I can eat the leftovers for days. Tomorrow will probably be the same unless I break and get a burger or something.

Today’s Workout: Grand Aspirations

wp-1654204665772

I had it in my head that I was gonna get all this stuff done today, get all my comics in my pile read, finish all my journals at work, write all the words and… I read one manga while peddling after doing a bunch of ordering for work. I managed to write while I was on the desk during a downpour (since nobody was in the library) but it wasn’t nearly the word count I was hoping for and what I finished was kinda aimless, to be honest.

But I had my coffee. That’s the most important. Because I have like… 10 bags of coffee floating around the house? Yeah, I may be broke as a joke but if I have a chance to get coffee on sale or Elvira, Vincent Price, Korn, or Beetlejuice themed coffee; my bisexual, closet goth self is gonna fucking buy it, okay? It’s why I have all these points sites so I can get these things for free or nearly free. I don’t have many joys, let me have this!

Ahem… Anyway.

I pushed to 45 minutes and I’ve begun to do some body-weight exercises before bed. Some leg lifts, arm lifts, chest presses, and tricep kickbacks. Since it’s without weights, I do as many reps as I can stand in a set, rest my arms while I do my legs, then do my arms again. I did this last night and my arms were burning and remained sore the next day. I’m gonna keep doing that every night to build up my muscles. Friday will be doctor appointment and chore day (I’m still processing my first mammogram which is a trauma dump I’m not ready to put on my blog yet) so, it’s gonna be the type of day where I may not have time for cardio that’s separate from preparing to work all weekend; cleaning my work clothes and prepping food so I don’t order or hit a drive through like I usually do when I do overtime.

Oh, and I did make good on my goal to stretch more. I have a stretching app on my phone and I remember a few things from my days in dancing school and karate classes. It’s helping in my post workout recovery so I’m sore the next day, but not so much that I can’t keep up my activity in the coming days.

Don’t worry, I’ve taken rest days into account. I don’t tend to workout on weekends other than my squats, especially if I’m working all weekend. I’m usually just burnt out and want to go to bed. I haven’t been taking much OT for that reason. I’d rather try and sell more needlework; which I will be posting soon!

Cooking Light Cravebox

It came in a pretty cool box which I could totally see reusing for something else. However, I did the right thing and threw it out so I don’t add to the clutter I’m trying to clean. XD

I think this is a pretty awesome selection. My daughter LOVES the Dole cups so that’s a purchase I’ll be making in the future. As fate would have it, we have converted to a Keurig household so the Tully’s coffee I may give away unless I can get one of those refillable cups for the machine. The garlic seasoning is FANTASTIC on fish and I’m happy it’s salt free since I have a sad addiction to salt. The syrup I’m sure I can find a use for but I’m not happy with the fake sweetener. I’m not a fan of any fake sugar, I prefer to us Sugar in the Raw or plain white sugar. If I’m gonna sin, I sin; I use real sugar and real butter when the case calls for it. If I wanna cut down on these things, I don’t eat the foods that contain them.

All in all, I find the contents of this box fitting with what Cooking Light stands for. I do subscribe to the magazine so it was cool to see a box themed for it. 🙂 I put the conversion magnet right on the fridge for when I need it as that will really come in handy for all the baking I do during the holidays. I’m glad to have the spare seasonings and snacks.

Monday Writing Update

Holy crap, Monday. Pull no punches, why don’t cha? *chugs coffee*

Anyways, after a stressful week, I am hoping to make up for my complete lack of motivation to write and fly through my word count goals for the week. Those goals include but are not limited to:

  • Edit 10 pages of Greenhouse
  • Finish another review for Otakus and Geeks

I have been “subtly encouraged: to hurry and finish Greenhouse and honestly? I’m over due with that. I should have finished it months ago. You guys deserve to hear what happens next with Darjeeling and how Auris plans t0 exact his revenge. >} Dun, dun, DUUUUNNN!!!
