New Release! “Go Away Girls: Vanished”

Go Away Girls - Vanished

The third installment in the Go Away Girls series is now live! Click here to buy or check out my shop here on the blog! This one was a bit of a struggle as it was my Camp NaNoWriMo project but I think it turned out pretty good!

Cover Reveal! “Go Away Girls: Vanished”

Go Away Girls - Vanished

The third book in my Go Away Girls series is almost finished! It’s way overdue and I think it turned out pretty cool. Here’s what I’m considering as my blurb:

In the aftermath of the epidemic of the drug ‘Flight,’ Katherine and Audrey were hoping for things to go back to normal. However, some of Audrey’s fellow members of the Temple of the Great Mother have not been in contact and several prostitutes have gone missing from brothels in Trixa. Katherine and her friends work to hunt down the kidnappers and bring the missing people home.

This book/series features LGBTQ+ and BIPOC characters. I am hoping for this book to be done in the next couple days and of course, I’ll update when it’s live!

Writing Update: Current Project and What’s Next

Right after my newest release, I started work on the third and final part of my Dahlia series. Even with an outline, I floundered a bit with the introduction but things are moving along. I can’t give an estimated release date yet but I am having fun working on this series.

What I really want to do next is another installment of Go Away Girls. I already have an idea for it, I just need to outline it before I start it.

Right now, my sales are not in a place where I can take time to work on really long projects; like the next installment of my vampire series. I’m getting there VERY slowly but I’m keeping my projects short so I can publish more books more often. I have 18 total titles under my belt and I’m pushing for 30 or more before the end of the year. I am looking into bundling these shorter works together. I just need to figure out how I want the covers to look.

It’s Done!

The next book in the Go Away Girls series is done and ready for purchase! This is a steampunk story about a new drug loose in the city sold by dealers willing to kill to keep their business going. This time there isn’t any sex in it so it’s available on more platforms but I hope you all still enjoy it.

Writing Update & Why I Went Dark For A Bit

I hope I didn’t worry anyone by not posting after my last update but I wanted to say something good in all the mess that’s going on. While I’ve been adjusting to working from home, I finished a rough draft of the next Go Away Girls book; “Flight.”

I’m working on editing it in between working from home and writing up more reviews so I don’t have an official release date. If you’re interested in this universe, check out the first book “The Mirror.”

As for a more personal update, we’re all still home, going out as little as possible, and blessedly still healthy. I am technically still employed but no longer getting the overtime I depend on to pay the mortgage. I count my blessings because there are people out there in way worse positions, but I will ask my readers to share and review my books and please, stay safe, stay clean, and stay home.

Writing Update: Bad News/Good News

I was reading through some reviews on my books – which I tend to do when I feel blocked or like I suck – and looking at the reviews on Go Away Girls: The Mirror, I decided to check and see where I left off with the novel I’m working on in that same universe. I plug in the flash drive, I double click the file and get a happy little message that the file is corrupted and can’t be repaired. I check my Google Drive? No backup. I had backups of every story BUT that one.

Then I think “Well, that’s fine. I’ll just get the notebook I wrote it in. I’m sure there’s a printed copy in there.” I spent the next 20 minutes tearing through things to locate it thinking I’d lost that too.

But the good news is, I did find it. I’m glad the worst thing about all that drama is the fact I have to retype the whole thing. Not a big deal at all. I have lost stories before (mostly because I’d trusted someone to give me the damn disk back and of course they lost it) and it’s devastating.

I’ll be adding that book into my rotation.

Right now, Emma’s story is up to 6375 words and I see plenty of potential in it now that I’ve spent the weekend editing it. I did consider scrapping the project thinking it would just going to be too short but I changed my mind.

That’s all I have to report for this week!

Two good things!

One: Mom will be coming home today. I won’t be home when she gets home but knowing she’ll be there makes me happy. I am calmer than I have been in days and never been more happy to be proven wrong in my life! 😀

Two: I got a 5 star review on my lesbian steampunk pr0n! 😀 This sets up a bad precedent to me… XD To celebrate my first 5 star review on my first published short story, I’ve added a poster of the cover art in the Zazzle shop. The art work is once again by the fabulous , who helps me infect the world with my demented ideas. 😉 You can see her comic and more of her art here.

Now that things are settling down, my hand is actually TWITCHING to write. I am not even joking. I feel the pen in my hand like a phantom limb.

Also, I went to see the last Harry Potter movie. To avoid any spoilers I will say only this: I laughed, I cried, I LOVED it. Go see it. 😉

It’s Ready! :D

Remember that short story I was writing for the erotic lesbian steampunk anthology?

Here it is. 😉

I love this universe and I will absolutely write more with these ladies in the future; both erotic and non-erotic. 🙂 They’re some cool ladies. XD

In other news, Mom had her scan and basically, there’s no change in the actual cancer. She’s still in the hospital and she will be till all the shingles are healed and she can swallow food on her own. When she does come home, Ma will have an aide to help her around the house.

But at least she can come home.

I’m working on more of Gods in the Grey City and hope to post more on the site. Once that’s one, it’ll go to Kindle, too. I’m working on having a whole little corner of Amazon just for me. XD If I can get enough out there, maybe I can make some extra money to afford a dryer! 😀 I would love to own a dryer… *dreams* But all in due time.

Tonight, since I have a three day weekend, I’ll be working on starting a baby sweater (not for me) and practicing driving. I will also try to finish Grey City so I can get it edited and I can move on to the next project. I’m hustling baby!! XD

Holy crap… @_@

Typing marathons are obviously for the young. I remember in the bygone days of college where I would park myself at the computer for 4 hours and just go and go…

Today, after a two hour typing marathon getting The Mirror typed up, I feel like someone tied my spine in a knot and rubbed salt in my eyes. And I’m still going today! I have a terrible, terrible focus on this. I straight up chased my husband out of the bedroom  last night so I could type in bed on the netbook instead on the main computer. The main comp is right by the front door and there’s an awful draft; so I hid in the bedroom and typed up 4 written pages in 2 hours. Most of it is incomprehensible drivel – and oh MAN, am I the queen of typos – But it’s there and I have all weekend to edit.

The lovely , who basically keeps ATQM running because HTML makes me cross-eyed, made this banner for me (so send her cookies) It’s in my livejournal profile and I haven’t thought of any other places to put it yet. I’m pretty crap at keeping up with my forum memberships so I’ll have to make the rounds and remind people I’m alive. XD

But for now, it’s back to work!! Go go go go!!!
