May Anime Loot Crate: Music

This box contains:

  • Hatsune Miku Blanket
  • Your Lie In April manga
  • Vocoloid t-shirt
  • Stuffed Leek
  • Ear buds
  • Miku Keychain
  • Miku poster
  • Cell phone charm

I am totally in love with that blanket. It’s small, more for your lap than anything else. But it’s still really cute. And again, a subscription box anticipates my needs as I’ve been needing new ear buds. we’ll see how long they last. I have a tendency to destroy them.

I’ll review the manga when I get around to reading it. Shouldn’t take to too long. I’m in the middle of this steampunk demon book.

I have been wondering what I’m going to do with all these t-shirts! You can only wear one a day, you know. Or maybe I’ll be the otaku of the gym…

Who am I kidding? I don’t have money for a gym. Guess I’ll just have to double up!

Omakase Miku Box

I discovered Omakase at NYCC last year and thought it would be cool to give it a try. Unfortunately, Omakase is gone but I did get this box! 😀

Obviously since I went as Hatsune Miku last year as my cosplay, I geeked out at this box. I love the squishy Miku and I attached her to my bag (yes, I am 35… Don’t judge me). I gave the belt to my kid and eventually I’ll give the poster and comic as well. The shirt and stickers are mine, tho. XD

It’s a shame this company is gone but I bet they were no match for Loot Crate’s Anime box. :/ Farewell, Omakase. And thanks for this box.

New York Comic Con 2015 Recap

As usual, NYCC was fun yet exhausting. Instead of bitching about how we don’t have professional day anymore and the general clusterfuck to get in is insane (not even professional only hours? gimme a break), I would rather talk about all the cool stuff!

First off, I met and got an autograph from Kevin Conroy, who absolutely did the voice when he introduced himself to the crowd.

The second day, I cosplayed as Hatsune Miku with my niece and my kid and got awesome pictures with other Mikus!

I also got a photo op with “The Stranger” from Until Dawn.

Day three was all about the kiddo, who scored a picture and a signed print from Rob Liefeld; the artist behind her favorite character, Deadpool (obviously).

Despite being tired, sore, and broke (I cannot believe I made it into work today) I am so glad I went. It was even more crowded than last year! I think a bigger venue is in order but I can’t imagine where that would be. But I am already brainstorming ideas for next year’s cosplay! 😀
