Ganta and Isaki are enjoying their club but the school insists they meet certain requirements for it to continue. They look into former member of the previous astronomy club – who has since graduated – named Yui, who helps them come up with an event to make the club legit.

Most of this is prepping for the stargazing event. Meanwhile, Isaki and Ganta are growing closer. It’s cute and I like seeing the club coming together. If you’re in the mood for some young adult slice of life, this is nice. Especially when they talk about looking at the stars. 3.9 out of 5.

Since people think the old school observatory is haunted, Ganta decides it can be a place where he can finally get some rest; as he has insomnia. He wakes to find Magari also sleeping there as she suffers from insomnia as well. They decide to start an Enjoy the Night club to make better use of the time they can’t sleep but when the teachers find out, they become the new Astronomy Club.

This is a unique premise that I wonder how it will play out. Will it just be about our main characters trying to get some sleep and bonding or will all the ghost stuff come into play? Will there be a bunch of club drama or will this series explore the unique challenges of having insomnia? I guess we’ll see in the coming volumes. 3 out of 5.
