Angry that Rin is attached to a human, a fox spirit named Tenko attacks Chiharu; leaving Rin scared he will scare off his beloved bride.

Now, in this volume we earn out 18+ rating. There is also the issue of the prophesy and what sort of future a human can have with a god. There’s a mutual understanding and it was nice to see Rin back to his goofy self; even with the intensity of his actions in smexy times. And the art is really pretty. I love the style as it alternates between the fantastical and the mundane. 4 out of 5.

Chiharu Izunome returns to his home town in order to try and work through his writer’s block. He encounters a strange man at the train station who claims to be waiting for his bride. Chiharu’s life turns upside down when this bride turns out to be him.

Chiharu’s more realistic personality is the perfect foil to the dragon, Rin, and his idealistic energy. It gives this manga some great humor but still has space for the serious moments. It’s just plain fun to read and I can’t wait for the next one. While it’s rated explicit, there wasn’t much in the way of smut in this volume. The main point is for Rin and Chiharu to get to know each other and set up the conflict for the next volume. 4.9 out of 5.

Shizuma’s job as a veterinarian is keeping him to busy to spend as much time with his boyfriend, Hinato; who has some insecurities about their relationship because Shizuma used to date women.

For clarity, I have not read the original series. So, any backstory beyond this volume is a mystery to me. That being said, this is a cute, smutty story that reads fast and has a nice pair of characters. They contrast well, Shizuma’s nice guy attitude with Hinato’s more standoffish ways but it was a fun read. 3.5 out of 5.
