Tsugumi has transferred to Megumi’s school but as an omega, he’s in danger from all the alpha’s around him and Megumi’s father hatches a plan to use a teacher to drive the couple apart.

The teacher, Mr. Nagaro, is a creep. The story tries to play it off as a joke, but nah, I wouldn’t want him around my kid. While this is about omegas in an alpha school and the school trip, the sex scene in this seems a bit forced in. I wouldn’t have minded if it had been left out to have more time with our main couple navigating this new situation, while Megumi’s father tries to interfere. The sweet moments in this are where the volume really shines because Megumi is so earnest, while Tsugumi is a food-driven, deadpan goofball. I also wish the sex scene was skipped because Mr. Nagaro spied on them. Gross. 3.9 out of 5.

Ilia lives a quiet life after the death of his husband, but as civil war rages, he encounters a familiar young man who turns out to be King Khalid, leading the rebellion against Zayn.

First off, Suya is the MVP still. I love her. Secondly, I can’t see Zayn without thinking:

Because I’m dead inside and surviving on memes. Other than that, I love the rebels taking back the kingdom plot but… Y’all, they made it weird like I thought they would when I reviewed the first book. Sorry, but if the ages were tweaked so Kahlid wasn’t just shy of the legal age, it wouldn’t be as creepy. You can make him as badass as you want, but he’s still barely legal. And it’s weird when the flashbacks happen and they talk about how much they loved and wanted each other before the war, but it flashes back to a literal child. It’s creepy and hobbled my enjoyment. Yes, there’s plenty of detailed smut to be had, but ugh… 3.5 out of 5 because I do adore the art and the plot is interesting.

At 29, Shishikura has been trying to find his soulmate but watching all his friends get married without any luck for his own love life. As he waits for a matchmaking service to assist, his heat comes on when only his surly coworker, Kotani, is around to help him. But will a single night of passion turn into more or will they continue to feud with each other.

Yeah, Kotani is the worst for awhile but of course, these two knuckleheads are meant to be. This is clearly not spoilers for anyone with any passing experience with yaoi or especially omegaverse stories. As an omegaverse, there is plenty of smut involving heats and such and it is very detailed. This is absolutely adults only. Omegaverse isn’t usually my jam but this was ight on the trope that omegas are treated like shit. There’s one offhand comment but other than that, I’m glad the story didn’t go there. It’s more about how our main couple are snippy with each other. 3.5 out of 5.

After Tsugumi is nearly bitten on the nape by Inami, who lied about being a beta, Megumi is determined to keep his mate safe by getting formally married and claiming Tsugumi’s nape for himself. The biggest hurdle is Megumi’s father who does not want his son messing with omegas. There is also a side story with Tsugumi’s dads as newlyweds.

I love how Megumi just melts when Tsugumi is honest with his feelings. It’s really adorable. There are some spicy scenes but the best parts of this are the main couple and Inami hashing thigs out but Megumi’s father issue is still a thing. 3.5 out of 5.

When once they were ‘friends’ with benefits, Megumi and Tsugumi are an official couple. But a possible rival, Inami, takes an interest in Tsugumi’s strength and is a clear threat to Megumi. There’s also the problem of Megumi’s father and his negative opinion of omegas.

I figured a rival alpha would be the next step this manga took since our main couple is established. Unless some other contrivance comes along but Tsugumi is so derpily earnest that I don’t think a lot of the miscommunication romantic tropes will be believable. Also, Tsugumi’s dads are hilarious and adorable; both in the main story and in their little side stories. 3.9 out of 5.

Tsugumi is an omega who hates all alphas due how to they treat omegas like playthings. When he beats up the wrong group, Megumi – an alpha – comes to avenge his friends only to fine Tsugumi irresistable.

I like the energy of this couple. The typical balance is the hot headed one and the cool headed one but neither of these guys qualifies as cool headed. They’re both ready to fight and have big personalities, which makes their relationship more interesting. There’s plenty of spice and smutty scenes (where my head cannon is they are in their 20’s so I don’t throw up) but I honestly enjoy them interacting overall. They made me laugh. 4 out of 5.
