Maruo knows he needs to get stronger in order to help Urara; even with the support of the Todoroki Alliance. Thanks to how powerful Enma is now, they know it will be impossible for Urara to regain her position with out more help.

This volume was interesting. I liked that Maruo found a way to train and increase his strength and that their group is growing. However, this felt a little thin. The training was cool and I enjoy the characters but this volume lacked the energy and fun as the previous ones. 3 out of 5.

Mauro is living out his dream of being a power protagonist in the demon realm but now faces his most powerful opponent yet, a yokai named Doppo Akari.

This is an action packed volume showcasing some adaptations to different opponents and has some great character moments. It’s fast paced, going from battle to battle as Urara continues her mission to take her father’s place. It’s a bit chaotic but I like it. So far, the main three are growing and learning along with being entertaining. I think it’s really cool. 3.9 out of 5.

The chairman of the Enma Syndicate is dead, sending the Ayashimon underworld into chaos. The chairman’s daughter, Urara, wants to take his place but can’t do it alone so she ends up in an unlikely alliance with a human named Maruo; who is inhumanly strong and has an obsession with becoming a manga protagonist.

This is a fun start. It introduces you into into the yokai world very quickly and it’s kinda chaotic but it’s interesting and really creative. The art is fantastic with some awesome creature design and bombastic fight scenes. I am very interested in seeing how this goes. 3.9 out of 5.
