Happy Friday!

Since I was editing instead of working on Winter Boot, I come with a peace offering:

Chapter 1
Chapter 2

Here are the first two illustrated chapters of my novel; First Brood: Dreamhunter. These are only $.99 each and if you can’t wait for more, the link to the full novel on Amazon is right there (also available from Createspace and Nook). Illustrations are by the fabulous Melody Herbert over at Ragdoll Comics. πŸ™‚

I am also proud to announce that Gods in the Grey City has a fancy new cover! πŸ˜€

Cool, huh? Also by Melody, as she’s pretty much my go to art person. ^_^

Hopefully, Winter Boot will be back next week. I seem to have a short story groove going on but in the meantime, enjoy! πŸ˜€

It’s LIVE! :D

A while back me and my friend over at Ragdoll Comics postulated a possible illustrated edition of Dreamhunter. After working out the kinks of how it would work, I am proud to say the illustrated chapters are now available. πŸ˜€ They will be posted on a monthly basis and each for $0.99 till the book is complete.

If you can’t wait? The full, non-illustrated version is available as well. πŸ™‚

I hope you enjoy it! πŸ˜€

April Fun Time! Photo a day Challenge! :D

In my adventures around the interwebs, IΒ stumbledΒ acrossΒ this from MisfitLibrarian’s blog.

Via Fat Mum Slim

I was pondering a photo a day thing (mostly as an excuse to use my fancy camera) and figured it was fate that I saw this. πŸ™‚ I also caved into peer pressure and got Instagram.

So, this month should be interesting. πŸ˜‰

Writer Wednesday – Writing Check-in!

Happy Wednesday everybody! πŸ˜€ I thought I’d try and get in the habit of a weekly check in with you all to let you know how things are going writing wise since I’m sure you’re all chomping at the bit to see more work from me. πŸ˜‰

First of all, Winter Boot is nearly complete. I have two, maybe three short chapters to go and I’ll get to posting them on Fiction Fridays again as soon as they’re typed andΒ edited. I’m also working on a loose outline for a lesbian romance called “10 Summers” which will be my next FF offering.

I haven’t touched Greenhouse. You can throw rocks at me later.

I am currently working on a small collection of my erotica. When I say “small,” I mean 3-4 stories I plan to put on Amazon all together. I’m trying to match them up so they all kinda fit together but judging from what I’ve seen offered on Amazon in terms of cheap erotica, I could throw them together like mixed nuts and nobody would give a crap.

I’ve been lax with keeping you guys updated on my book reviews. I’ve posted three more (here, here, and here) and I have two more books on deck.

I have also been sketching, crocheting, and knitting. Expect pictures of my crafts to be popping up on here more often. πŸ˜‰ I don’t sketch fast enough for my Deviant Art or Storm Artist galleries to be updated all the time but with more practice, I’ll get there.

Yes, I effing slipped on the ice again last week. Winter can officially fucking suck it. Please give me Spring before I kill myself. >_<

All in all, for a gal who’s only three months off demanding a divorce, I’m not doing too badly! I’m not writing more to distract from my feelings, I’ve been dealing with my feelings so well, I have more mental energy to write! If I can stop slipping on, hitting, or getting hit by anything for a few monthsΒ YEARS, I’ll be in good shape here.

Really, Gravity; what did I ever do to you?

Comic Con Swag: Day One

The first day of New York Comic Con went off without a hitch! πŸ˜€ I went to a couple panels on graphic novels in libraries then checked out the floor! Of course there was much swag to be had and Lenni does love her swag. Lets start with the swag I paid for:

Yes, that is a full set of Wet Moon by Ross Campbell. I got this series for the library and I’ve always wanted a set of my own! πŸ˜€ Of course there’s a pretty bound Lenore: Cooties by Roman Dirge because I didn’t have that one yet. That little box is steampunk soap with a key in it. XD I’ll post the brand when I locate the card for the place. The scent is amazing!

Now for the free swag!
I got posters, catalogs, post cards, press on nails, bracelets, and buttons. Man, if I can ever get my kid to behave, that Chibbi Moon poster is all hers. XD

Now, there are no pictures of me because I didn’t dress up. I’m saving my costume till Saturday when me and the family are ALL going dressed up. πŸ™‚ That’s gonna be a marathon day for sure.

I’d go into more detail but holy crap, I’m tired. =_= Till tomorrow!! πŸ˜€

Monday Writing Update

Holy crap, Monday. Pull no punches, why don’t cha? *chugs coffee*

Anyways, after a stressful week, I am hoping to make up for my complete lack of motivation to write and fly through my word count goals for the week. Those goals include but are not limited to:

  • Finish Winter Boot
  • Start one anthology entry
  • Edit 10 pages of Greenhouse
  • Finish another review for Otakus and Geeks

I have been “subtly encouraged: to hurry and finish Greenhouse and honestly? I’m over due with that. I should have finished it months ago. You guys deserve to hear what happens next with Darjeeling and how Auris plans t0 exact his revenge. >} Dun, dun, DUUUUNNN!!!

No, haven’t had enough coffee yet. Somebody bean meh!

H+ Trailer Review

Sean over at Otakus and Geeks keeps me clued in to the latest news involving impending geekdom I may enjoy. Recently, he’s told me about the impending series H+. Here’s the sneak peak:

I have to say, as someone who’s attached to her smartphone enough that people tease me about having something implanted in my brain so I could be connected all the time, I am intrigued! πŸ˜€ I can’t wait for this series to start (should be in August). Like I need another thing to distract me from writing but the episodes are only 5-12 minutes long (I hear) so I think I can spare that. πŸ˜‰

The idea of technology gone wrong is hardly new but I like the track H+ is taking with it. It seems to be filmed in the same style of 24 or Lost where you are taken through the story in small chunks at a time and not necessarily in order. I enjoy that format because I can go back when the story is complete and discover new things. I live for those “Ah HA!!!” moments in my entertainment. πŸ˜‰ I feel almost rewarded by sticking to the narrative.

I have high hopes for this series and I’ll keep you all posted on my thoughts as it goes on. πŸ™‚
