Today’s Workout: Back at it!

Now that NYCC is over and I have two complete stories that just need a tiny bit more editing; I’m easing back into workouts. My weight is pretty much the same so there’s little to report here other than I’ll get back to running once these drafts are done.

I don’t know how my running will go around NaNoWriMo, as I’m prepping for that now. Yes, I’m actually trying it out this year. I have an interesting idea and I’m going to have a detailed outline before the end of this month. But for now, more workouts! I put my little Chromebook up on my desk bike and worked while I pedaled. My wireless mouse died and made this an interesting adventure but I was still able to get my heartrate up and also get work done. Totally worth the time.

Today’s Workout: More Biking

Back to the under desk peddler today to burn off some calories during a webinar. I love how fast the workout time goes when I’m focused on work. Sometimes, especially in the last 5 minutes, a workout seems eternal.

One thing that annoys me is not getting my heart rate higher. I have the resistance at the highest setting and somehow, it’s not enough. My bike at home with the little desk on it has MUCH more resistance. My thighs feel like they got a workout but it’s way more intense than the bike at work.

But anything is better than just sitting and doing nothing.

Today’s workout: Biking and Writing

Oooh, look at that swanky minimalism in that graphic. Nice, Google Fit.

Anyways, I picked the stationary bike because I’m almost done with a rough draft of the next story I want to publish. My sales were meh for this month but ‘meh’ is a step up from none so I’ll take it.

I keep the resistance pretty high on this bike so I felt it in my thighs even after just 25 minutes. It is going to be cooling off so, I hope to get back to running next week and continue C25k. I won’t be able to write on the treadmill but I do need to learn that it’s ok to do one thing at a time.

Runner 5 down! Sorta…

Other than that shot being super awkward… I finally had that lipoma removed from my shoulder and the doctor was very damn clear that there will be no running for at least 2 weeks.

I won’t go into super detail about how fucking strange it is to have someone digging out a fat glob from your flesh but you don’t feel it but I did ask about my desk bike and as long as I don’t over do it, the bike should be fine.

I also have this nifty tiny peddler under my work desk.

One good side effect is I will have more time to write and do needlework. I’m off running for at least 2 weeks and I have no desire to completely lose the progress I’ve made. But, as long as I don’t go flailing my arms around, I should be able to churn out more content and sale items.

No doing this, basically.

I’ll be careful and heal up properly. I did sign up for the Zombies Run! Spring virtual race but I should be healed up by then!

Too bad I didn’t get to keep my lipoma. I would have kept it in formaldehyde and named it Gregori…
