New Story! Djinn 2: Wendigo

Djinn 2

Yes, I’ve been quiet lately but it’s for a good reason! I stopped doing reviews for a bit so I could work on this story and it’s all ready! Djinn 2: Wendigo is the sequel to Djinn, and has the same main two characters but a new enemy! It will be released on March 4, 2021.

I also have a rough draft of the next part of Fruit of the Dead that I’m working on and I hope to have that out before the end of March. I won’t leave the blog idle; I have a bunch of reviews ready to type up.

New Story Up!

I’ve had this one kicking around for awhile now and I’ve finally cleaned it up enough to sell! At least in my opinion, at any rate… But with no further ado, here is Djinn; an urban fantasy short story about a mysterious woman and her annoying genie, Todd.

And for the low price of only $0.99! Check it out!

Rainy Day…

I had a few hours to myself today where I was able to brain storm. There is something about walking to music that loosens up the muse even if I am all dur hurr from lack of sleep. So, I cranked up the MP3 player as I walked to get my kiddo from school and I have three more little stories in the works. All non-erotica related, too! 😀 Remember Djinn? Get ready to hear more from them in the near future.

The only drawback? It was effing cold. >_< Warmer hoodie next time. :p

“Djinn” and Book Expo

I finished episode one of "Djinn" tonight! I’ve been really pleased with my progress these days. The words just keep coming and they’re pretty good even pre-editing! 😀

Tomorrow, I will be updating on schedule after I make sure there aren’t any glaring typos. Then I’ll be looking at layouts to see if I can get something a little cleaner and more "author like." No offense to my awesome pink and purple swirl but pink on black wears on the eyes after awhile. And I spend a lot of time staring at computer screens, I know what I’m sayin here.

One of the awesome things about having a day job in addition to writing is the library will send me to places like Book Expo. There were publishers, authors, and exhibitors, oh my! I came back with so much swag, there are bruises from where the bag cut into my shoulder. I’m still going through it all but I have some great information on marketing websites and connecting with other writers who are on the same route I’m taking. I gotta say, the thought of having some other authors here and reading my stuff is kinda awesome. Unless they tell me I suck, then not so much.

Since my representation has told me Dreamhunter will be available to order in the next week or so, I’ll be removing the chapters and putting up a preview instead. It’s this that’s got me wondering about other site layouts, ya dig?

I got a little more work to do before I pack it in for the night (and my hands are starting to get mad at me for the typing) so, off I go. Till tomorrow, kids!

Of course

I forget to update the journal that I updated the website. Good job, Lenni. :p Anyways, "Djinn" has been cleaned up and updated. I am working on that at a pretty good pace, along with my contest entry, and a couple of side projects I’m working on. As you can see, I’ve changed my avatar to a beautiful portrait that  created for me. I look exactly like that… All the time… Honest. 😉 You can check out her work here. You won’t be sorry.

And back to work for me! I’m already a page into my word goal for the day. 😉

Today’s update

"Julian" aside from being a class assignment, was also an experiment for me in writing a short story with pure dialog. I wrote it circa 2002. It’s edited to make it a little cleaner but it’s pretty much exactly what I wrote back then. I had fun with it. 🙂 I may write more with Julian since she’s very cool and she’s my outlet for channeling Motoko from Ghost in the Shell. XD

And "Djinn" will update as it comes. I’m just letting this story flow. I have no plan. You have been warned. XD
