Today’s Workout: I’m annoyed…

wp-1674576587137

I got some really, REALLY annoying news at work that I won’t go into because I will get fired if I express just how pissed off I am, so taking it out on the desk peddler really helped. I didn’t feel particularly sore; or any more sore since I’m almost over the soreness from COVID. I didn’t feel like I’d pushed things too far. It was almost normal. I still don’t feel strong enough to be hopping on the treadmill just yet.

Next week, I think I’m going to break out my dumbbells and do more body weight workouts; focusing on my core. I’m not looking for six pack abs, I’d just like to be more fit overall. I want to be able to bear my midriff. I know people say I should wear whatever I want no matter what size I am but I won’t be comfortable or confident doing that now. If I’m gonna do it, I want to feel great doing it.

NaNoWriNo Day 10: Yes I should still be working out but I’m not

I love how in October I had these grand notions of writng and working out and husting to post every day and how ten days in, I’m blearly throwing up an update that I’m praying will make any sense when I look at it in the morning.

I’ve seen some impressive stats from other authors I follow and I’m tying not to feel bad about myself since I am literally writing whatever words around a full time job and a teenager that “helps” me with chores… So, I’m on a string of late nights, there’s dirty dishes in the sink, and I’d bet money (that I don’t make on book sales) that when I asked for the garbage to be taken out, I will see it wasn’t done in the morning.

At least the words are in the bag!

Overdue 2020 goals

Last year I did pretty well on my yearly goals but this year I’m gonna scale it down a bit. I don’t want to get overwhelmed:

  1. Draw more. I actually really miss this.
  2. Treat my writing and blog more like a business. I’d like to be publishing more often.
  3. Clean off my Kindle, Nook, iPad, AND read the ARCs I have piled up.
  4. More needlework.

That’s about it! I’ve gotten a pretty good running habit, my doctor says I’m very healthy so, my main goals now are the success of my writing and clearing out. Let’s see how this year goes!

2019 Goals!

Happy new year, everyone! And, like everyone else, I have a bunch of shit I’d like to get done this year:

  1. Complete my stash busting. I’ve done good so far and sold things in my shop so, I’ll keep that up.
  2. Finally run that 10k.
  3. Become debt free.
  4. Publish unfinished stories.
  5. Actually wear the make up I have.

Doing all of these seem feasible. If I publish more and use up my yarn, I can make more side money to pay off my debts. Also, more frequent updates may help me get more patrons over at Patreon. This year will be all about ensuring a more positive financial future!

2017 Goal Status

Waaayyy back, I had a list of 5 things I wanted to get done this year. I suppose I am passed due for an update on these.

  1. I screwed up my knees way to much to get this goal. BUT I have run a bunch of 5ks and did my first race on actual streets with other people around. I count that as a win.
  2. I have made a dent in my stash yarn. Not a sizable one but a dent. Be on the lookout for more things posted in my shop!
  3. Yeah, I had no time to sit and do this…
  4. I had no time to do this one either. I did get more drawing practice in, though.
  5. I am particulary proud of this one because I have thrown out all sorts of junk. There are still various spots in the house that need an overhaul but I’ll get to them.

Well, there you have it! 5 goals and 3 out of 5 were accomplished. Not a bad ratio, if I do say so myself.

2017 Goals

Happy New Year!! And with the decorations down and house clean; it’s time to start thinking about what I’d like to accomplish this year:

  1. Get healthy enough to run a marathon
  2. Knit or Crochet all my stash yarn
  3. Learn to knit in the round
  4. Draw my own book covers
  5. Defeat all the clutter

I think 5 is more than enough for one year considering all the stuff I’d like to accomplish. And I think they’re pretty reasonable.

What things do you think I should try? And what are you planning to make of this year?

The Plan? One Step at a Time.

It’s funny because it’s true! Also, it’s not funny because it’s true. I tend to have so many different projects going at once, I seem to never make any progress at anything because my attention is divided too many ways

So, here’s what I’m gonna do.

Winter Boot will be the first thing I finish. I’m sure there was just a chorus of groans from people who wish to hang me up by my thumbs if I don’t get the next First Brood book out yesterday but I would like to continue my Fiction Fridays and I can’t do that till Winter Boot is done. After that, I have two short stories; “Fylgia” and “Old Soldier” that will need to be finished and posted for sale. Then I will move on to the editing for Greenhouse and the writing of my Go Away Girls steampunk lesbian novel. I can’t keep jumping from project to project (a lot of the time within the same DAY) and expect to get ANY work out for you guys to enjoy

Wish me luck because I am crap at focusing. It’s also why I have three knitting and crochet projects in the works as well…

But that’s for another entry. XD

In life news, I will be getting my car back in about 4 weeks and I’m back to working out with only the slightest twinge of soreness in my back. Between the treadmill and the elevator still broken at work, my le muscles re very confused. But I feel so much better now that I’m able to move around. I DESPISE being immobile. >_<

So, there you have it, folks! Lenni is healed up and has a plan to get as much writing into your greedy hands as possible! 😀 Are you excited? I sure am. 😉

2013 goals

I had to think a lot about what I wanted from this year. Instead of resolutions, I have goals I would like to meet:

1: To recover from my divorce and be a happier and better person.

2: To write 4 pages every day.

3: Update the blog more often.

4: I’m trying the 100 Books in a Year challenge again.

There’s no way I’m gonna let the bad things that have happened to me get me down. I have to remember it’s not my fault, these things happen, and to move on with my head high.

Here’s to a good 2013. It better be good; I think I’m owed. T_T

Monday Writing Update

Holy crap, Monday. Pull no punches, why don’t cha? *chugs coffee*

Anyways, after a stressful week, I am hoping to make up for my complete lack of motivation to write and fly through my word count goals for the week. Those goals include but are not limited to:

  • Finish Winter Boot
  • Start one anthology entry
  • Edit 10 pages of Greenhouse
  • Finish another review for Otakus and Geeks

I have been “subtly encouraged: to hurry and finish Greenhouse and honestly? I’m over due with that. I should have finished it months ago. You guys deserve to hear what happens next with Darjeeling and how Auris plans t0 exact his revenge. >} Dun, dun, DUUUUNNN!!!

No, haven’t had enough coffee yet. Somebody bean meh!

Quick Writing Update

If you follow me on Twitter, you are aware I’ve been fighting off some sort of contagion my child was kind enough to share with me. As a result, I haven’t done as much blogging or writing as I would have hoped so yeah, you all are stuck without a Fiction Friday entry again this week. This must be horrible news to all 15 of you who read this blog. XD
However, in the mental restructuring I so often do to keep my crazy ass out of the loony bin, I have been bitten by my muse and my hand just itches to write.

I have also been threatened with bodily harm if I don’t finish editing Greenhouse and start putting it up. I better get on that then, eh?
