While Suiren is helping Aya with relationship issues, Kawasumi is seriously considering his future, as chasing his dreams means moving away from Suiren.

Ah, another high school romance comes to an end as your characters enter their senior year and graduation, thinking about what their future will hold. This is the last official volume of the story and while Suiren does have dreams of her own, they still feel like an afterthought and loving Kawasumi is still her main trait. Her interest in baking very much feels like it was tacked on and I never really got to know her before it ended. 3 out of 5.

Kyoya happens to run into Erika while she’s venting to Terasaki, who confesses his feelings for her.

Okay… I’m gonna spoil things. Fuck it. Even if Erika wasn’t taking Kyoya’s concerns seriously, he was WAY over the line with how he behaved.

And Terasaki? He can fuck all the way off. “I’m trying to save you. I got carried away.” If I ever think, “Ugh, that’s something my ex-husband used to say.” throw the whole ass man out. Or BOY in this case. The both of them are red flags and for Erika to blame herself? What the actual fuck.

Ma’am, you said no, HE HIT YOU and refused to take no for an answer. Then the whiplash of going into the school trip and I’m back to not wanting Erika to bother with Kyoya anymore. That shit pissed me off. 2 out of 5.

Mocchi confesses his feelings for Anna before Wataru gets a chance to and Mari feels as if she needs to confess to Anna as well.

We get some of Mari’s backstory as to why she’s so prickly and how she became friends with Anna. It’s emotional but not dark so this series is keeping it’s generally light tone. It’s an easy going YA romance and this volume has some great character interactions. It’s a little Anna centric right now and even though she’s a likable character, I would like to see more from other characters for awhile since it’s been about her for a lot of this. 3 out of 5.

Yatora is a slacker with little interest in school but manages to get good grades; good enough to keep his parents happy. Other than that, he’s aimless and lacks ambition. Until he meets Yuka, a member of the art club who reinvigorates Yatora’s interest in painting and he contemplates becoming a full time artist in the future.

It’s always a cook thing to watch someone find the activity that sparks their inspiration and just makes them feel alive. What I like about this manga in particular is it’s skips the “my friends mock/ditch me” part. Instead, the conflict comes from when your passion meets competition. Yatora is loving art and wants to find a future in it but there are so many others who are far ahead. I know from experience how discouraging that can be so I’m invested in this. 4.5 out of 5.

In this manga we have a love quadrangle between outsider Taichi Ichinose, clumsy and shy girl Futaba Kuze, popular jock Toma Mita, and Kiza’s friend Masumi.

It’s interesting so far and I really enjoy how Ichinose and Kuza interact. You can see how feelings formed there on either side. If they end up together, it would be adorable but I have a feeling that things are going to get super complicated and messy. But I’m here for it; I want to know what happens next. 4 out of 5.
