Modoka Figure from Puella Madoka Magica by Banpresto
$10 VRV coupon
Seven Deadly Sins Hawk Eraser
One Piece Chopper String Backpack
Loot Anime Phone Charm
I know I usually don’t bother with the posters but I really liked the design of this one because it involves the best things in life: pets, books, and cardigans. This poster is librarian approved.
Overall, this is a cute selection of stuff. The little pig thing kinda freaked me out. It’s the biggest eraser I’ve ever owned…
Puella Madoka Magica is the only property I’m familiar with in this box. One day I’ll get around to Seven Deadly Sins but I couldn’t get into One Piece. I’ll probably pass this one on to a real fan along with the credit for the VRV anime service. I barely have time for the media I consume NOW, I refuse to add another.
KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! Vol. 1 Manga
FLCL Art Print
High School DxD Art Print
The fandoms I’m most familiar with in this box are Trigun and FLCL. Both are among some of my favorite anime series. One Punch Man is pervasive so you can’t help but have heard of it The others I’ve never heard of until now.
The shirt is amazing but any white shirts make me nervous. I’m always afraid I’ll ruin it somehow with soy sauce or wine. And that FLCL print is going up on my desk. I am determined to have the most geeky desk in my library.
I’m not gonna lie, the cup is super cool but I have so many now, I’d rather some other item. XD
Out of this whole box, Death Note is the only fandom I’m familiar with. I’ve seen a bit of Parasyte here and there, I’ve read Noragami, but I have no idea what Mob Psycho is. I’ll have to look into that…
Of course, I’ll review the manga and possibly get to watching the anime in the future. I’ve heard nothing but good things about it even if the stretchy art style gives me the creeps (blame Uzumaki for that).
I do think I’m getting less individual items lately; despite the items themselves being cool. It’s far from feeling like a rip-off, just leaving me wanting more.
And the box turns into one of the houses from Attack in Titan; which is pretty cool but I try not to keep the boxes for clutter reasons. But coaster and box are awesome, the figure is cute, but can we talk about that AWESOME notepad?! The ‘leather’ holder has the same emblem engraved on it and a clip on the back to hook it to whatever. I can see putting it on my belt or the strap to a messenger bag. It comes with a flat pencil; which may be a pain to sharpen but it meshes with the design of the case. Maybe a flat styled pen with widely available refills would have been just as good but that’s more of a nitpick than a criticism.
I am glad to be getting some stationary stuff because I always suggest them when I take the customer surveys. I would love exclusive journal designs and such because I obviously have a sickness that can only be cured by more books. 😉
Ok, that One Piece figure freaks me right the hell out. I mean, look at that face. That screams “I will be eating your soul as you sleep.” I’ve also never really been a fan of One Piece. I gave the show a try and it just didn’t grab me. In fact, I haven’t seen any of the anime in this crate. I end up feeling ‘blah’ about it because of that. As a result, most of this is gonna get passed on to better fans than me.
Except for the book. Of course, I’m gonna read that.
This is one of those crates that unintentionally made me feel completely out of touch. I have no clue about any of these fandoms. The stuff is cool and all but the only bits I will go out of my way to keep are the shirt, the picture frame, and the book to review. Not to say this stuff isn’t cool, I just won’t appreciate them as much as someone who is really a fan.
Why keep the stuff I don’t know about? Because it’s cool. That’s all.
Ein wins. That’s it. The rest of the box could have been filled with gold and I’d still love Ein the most.
Since I’m not the biggest fan of Robotech, I threw that up on eBay so a real fan can buy it.
And yeah, there’s no update for today’s Finally Watched It and that’s because I’m taking some time for the holidays. I am super busy and regular posts will resume on Monday. Have a happy and healthy everyone!
The pants were WAY too small for me so I’ll probably gift them or sell them. The letter opener is kinda sharp and I love it. I thought it would end up being a pen or something but this is cool too. As for Sword Art and Gin Tama? Never watched them. Cool stuff but a lot of these are fandoms I don’t really follow. I do think it’s for the best to pass them on to someone who will love them more than I can.
I had to show the interior of the box. It’s very cute. As for the contents:
Naruto noodle bowl
Sweetness & Lightning Vol. 1 Variant Cover
Ice Cream Sundae Phone Charm
Good Smile Company: Nendoroid – Himouto! Umaru-chan: Umaru figure
Satoshi Isshiki’s Apron From Food Wars
I am a little relieved I didn’t get a bento with this one since I got a bento box in a previous Loot Crate. This crate is overall adorable! I love the mix of useful things and silly collectible things and I hope to see more like that in the future (even though the last thing I need are more dishes) since there are only so many places to put plushies and figures.
First off, of all the boxes NOT to come with pens, paper, or notebooks; I never thought this would be it. Don’t get me wrong, I am in love with the bento box, the charms and stuff are cool but seriously? Not a single pen or notebook? Way to miss the theme here, guys…
Other than that, man did my face light up at the sight of that bento box. Utena is one of my favorite franchises and I can’t wait to use it. It’s microwave safe, too! Now I just need some recipes for a box this size (it’s super small) but I’ll try and post what I come up with.
Even without any notebooks or pens (seriously guys?!), this is the first box in awhile I don’t feel the need to sell or give much of this away. I’m not so into Digimon so I’ll pass that on to a bigger fan.
