It figures I’d get a wave spray when I start flat ironing my hair again. :p
The perfume is nice, I am happy with the primer and mascara but I am most excited about the firming cream. If you’ve been following my running, you’ll know I’ve been working out pretty hard and regularly. My body has been changing in a LOT of ways which include more muscle burning away the fat on my body. This has left me with some sagging skin. Not on Skin Tight levels, just enough for me to think “Huh, that wasn’t there before.” I’m not morphing into an overly vain person but I wouldn’t mind it not being there. I plan to give this a try and see how it works. I’ve used the Fat Girl Slim products and found them kinda meh but at that time, I wasn’t working out to the degree I am now. And yes, floppy skin is a concern from a health standpoint mostly; not just aesthetics.
I will review that in particular since it’s the product I have the most interest in and use for right now. Look out for that in the future.

This is a decent collection of stuff except I don’t use eyebrow pencils (mostly because I just… don’t want to). The thing I’m most happy with is the hand cream. My hands get very dry over the winter; especially in my cold office working with computers all day at work. I go through a lot of lotion just trying to keep my skin from cracking.
The perfume is pretty nice although I don’t think I’d go out of my way to get it. True to it’s name, it’s a light scent that doesn’t make my nose want to die. If I got more samples of it, that’d be cool but I wouldn’t buy it.
Overall, this box is OK. I’m not as excited with it as I have been with previous ones.

I’m not to impressed with the perfume but I am VERY picky about what scents I put on. Chances are they will never send me a perfume I fall madly in love with again because of that. As for the rest, I’m pleased! Lip gloss is my go to lip product (over lipstick) and I am a stickler for having soft, moisturized hands. Blemishes aren’t really a big deal for me (knock on wood it stays that way) so I may give away the cleanser and mask. You never know who can use them. 🙂
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for sending foot wipes. My favorite thing about warmer weather is no longer wearing socks and rocking the flip flops. But streets are FILTHY so I am very grateful for something I can keep in my bag and get the grime of my tootsies.
I’ve gotten Supergoop before and I’m pretty happy with my regular ole Aveeno face cream. It’s great nonetheless. 🙂
The rest I haven’t tried yet because I’ve been doing some MAJOR cleaning out of old makeup. I’ve been tossing out more than I’ve been using; including old hair products. It’s part of a general de-cluttering spree I’ve been on. I even cleaned out old clothes and donated them. All these flat planes of empty space are so strange but awesome to look at.
The perfume was ok but I’ll be trading that to someone probably. I’m still a body spray sort of gal. It’s hard to over do body spray since it’s so light. I’d just assume skip those for more chocolate samples. ;D
As I still haven’t gotten decent pics of the color changing nail polish from last month (I keep chipping it) here’s this month’s offering! There’s perfume, color protecting shampoo, night serum, and face brightening cream.
The perfume is oh but I’ve been so in love with the Phoenix perfume from a previous box, nothing else has ever smelled as good. The color protecting hair stuff came at the perfect time cause I just dyed my hair. And I can’t see getting a real good impression of the serum. Most of these say you need a couple weeks to see results and I don’t think there’s enough. But what the heck! I’ll try it all out anyway. 🙂
This is my first bag from Ipsy and I heard it’s as good or better than Birchbox. That’s gonna take some time to see cause I’ve gotten some pretty swanky things from Birchbox.
My first impression is that I like it. I love nail polish (it’s the easiest and fastest beauty thing I can do) and lip gloss. I am also ALWAYS open to new hair treatments for my dry as hell hair.
The concealer however, I am absolutely gonna give away. I am one of those women other woman hate because I almost never get a pimple and to be perfetly honest, I don’t give a rats ass if my eyes have shadows under them. I’m a working mother of a 5 year old trying to sell books and crafts on the site. Shit yeah, I’m tired and I’m proud of it. XD
I’ve used Zoya polish before so I know this will be a great summer color for my fingers and toes. The perfume I have to be careful with because I work with people with scent sensitivities. When I start dating again (or whenever I feel like it) I’ll wear it then. For now, I like the soft, fruity scent of it.
As for the inevitable collection of bags I will have? Maybe I’ll give them away on the blog or my site. I certainly won’t need all of them.
I love getting swag… XD Especially chocolate swag. Above is the Influester Cosmo Box. I can already tell I’m going to enjoy it because it includes two of my favorite things: Chocolate and pens. I haven’t cracked into the razor yet but the perfume is very nice.
I’m not entirely sure why I got picked for THIS box (seeing as I’m not that girly) but yay! Gotta love the chance to review fun stuff. 🙂
I am pleased with this month’s Birchbox offering! I adore the little gift box but the only product I tried right off the bat was the MCMC Fragrance Phoenix Eau de Parfum. It is FANTASTIC. I’m not big into perfume. I prefer body sprays because the scent is lighter and it fades quicker should you over spray. Perfume is pretty unforgiving if you put too much on and the only thing that fixes it is a shower. :p
I look forward to trying out the rest of the stuff over the month and I’ll post my findings as I find them. 😉
Yes, I have fallen behind in my quest to become more girly. Or well, as girly enough as it takes not to have a heart attack when I enter the makeup aisle of a drug store. I don’t do hot very well so when summer comes, I am not likely to put much effort into doing my hair or wearing makeup. I rock the snood, wear sunscreen, and just try and get through the day without melting. But the Birchbox still comes. Here’s this month’s offering.
This month’s box is inspired by Glamour.
I haven’t tried any of this stuff yet. However, I am proud to say I am completely aware of what mints do and what ear buds do. XD The rest I can figure out as I go.
I think what gives me the most pause about what I’ve been getting is the perfume. I can over do make up and just wipe it off but too much perfume can down every breathing person within a 20 foot radius if I’m not careful. Of all the items I’ve gotten, those are the most likely to sit unused or be given away. Maybe I’ll hold another contest and in addition to my book, I’ll give away some of the samples I’ve been hoarding. They’re not bad; I enjoy the scents. I’m just a body spray sort of gal, not perfume. It’s lighter, cheaper, and hard to overuse. XD
