As Riko gets better at taking care of her cat, Musubi, she still has retained her love of gaming. When she gets a new game, she struggles to fit in time with that as well as work, rest, and Musubi’s nighttime zoomies.

Of course the kitten is precious but this volume feels more slice of live than the others, dealing with clipping Musubi’s nails, giving him a bath, and things like that. It’s cute to see a bit of Musubi’s perspective on things; especially when he’s gaming with Riko and trying to climb on things. They’re both settling in and Riko is learning about taking care of him while still doing what she loves. 3.9 out of 5.

Kanda’s son and daughter; Hoshinari and Sorako respectively, come to pay their father a visit only Hoshinari hates cats.

If this series has any lesson to take away from it besides the fruitless hope that the world’s problems can be solved by a cute cat, it that being into playing music puts you in the orbit of a lot of assholes. Kanda, Moriyama and now Hoshinari had to deal with some absolute dickheads leading to a bunch of trauma to be unpacked. All the pressure and backstabbing… But I believe in this series’ ability to engage the power of adorable cats to help the humans move on. Although (spoiler) the fake out with the accident was so unnecessary. 4 out of 5.

*This book was given to me in exchange for an honest review.

A cat languishing in a pet shop resigns himself to never getting adopted due to many people coming to look at him and making cruel comments. But then an older gentleman comes in and immediately pics him to take to his forever home.

This manga is so sweet. Maybe I have a soft spot for touching animal stories but this is a perfect cozy read if you like cute animals and slice of life manga. Mr. Moriyama is a nice guy who dotes on Fukumaru; who is just a squishy sweetheart and they have the best interactions. Very heartwarming and perfect if you are in the mood to say “AWWWWWWWW!!” repeatedly. 5 out of 5.
