Today’s Workout: Back At It!

Not every day is gonna be two workouts. I was more covering my ass if something happened and I didn’t run after I got home. I didn’t use any app but Zombies Run and did a simple walk 5 min, run 5 min until I hit the 30 minute mark. I haven’t run since November and I need to built back my endurance.

I don’t care if it’s cringe but yes, I have a Gamer Supps shaker cup and I’ve been using it to have a protein shake in the mornings. I put half a packet of Death Wish instant coffee in it as a pick me up. I think the full packet would launch me into space. Lunch was leftovers from last night’s dinner and dinner was some leftover fries from the weekend’s take out. It felt so good to be on the treadmill again. I think I’m just overall happier with running in my life.

Today’s Workout: Iiinnn Spaaccee

wp-17279646771137663818977556890167

This mission has an Aliens feel with the synthetic humans and such. I like it! I’m a sucker for good scifi. As for the run itself, it was touch and go towards the end because my arm hurts (I’m getting some bad carpal tunnel… Really not fun) but my arm isn’t what I use to run. I just told myself to get over it. This will be my last workout of the week, other than some walking, since I have so many damn chores to do and editing to get done. I guess my biggest challenge will be finding the chance to actually rest my hand.

As it was my late day, I had to prep lunch and dinner so, I made some steak and rice to go with the tray of roasted vegetables I’d made earlier in the week. I’m trying to have more variety in what I eat and lean into protein and vegetables. Basically whatever I get in my farm share box, I bake and put into my rotation. Even though my kid doesn’t like it, I do. I think it’s interesting to eat all these new things.

Today’s Workout: Awww, that’s it?

wp-1727821605062144896085283736934

I was enjoying this story! I’m kinda sad it’s over but I think it was great overall. Then again, I’m biased because I love this app in general.

As for the run itself, It went just fine. The only real pain I have in in my right hand and I think I’m getting carpal tunnel. It makes sense since I’m on a computer all day and all my side gigs involve either a computer, my Freewrite, regular writing, or needlework; all done with my right hand. I’ve dealt with tendonitis before so, I’ll be keeping my hand in a brace for awhile, I have topical and internal pain killers, and I’ll be taking as many breaks as I can. The last thing I want is surgery or to be in pain all the time. I’ll make sure to take good care of myself until this goes away. What sucks is I had so much needlework I wanted to do but my hands are in no shape to crochet or knit right now.

Today’s Workout: Rings of Power

wp-17273620709596893886745335955241

I hear ‘ring of power’ and I automatically think LoTR which is funny because I haven’t been interested in that franchise since the original trilogy. That said, this mission had nothing do to with LoTR. That’s just my brain rot.

I was hungry when I got up but I didn’t want any excuses to delay my run. I satisfied my breakfast craving by making a scrambled egg and sausage on a croissant. The sausage was the meatless kind from Trader Joe’s and it’s not for any kind of super ethical or dietary reasons. I just like them and they fit on the bread. I’m out of food to cook in the Itaki but I had a TON of romaine built up in the fridge. I made myself a big ass salad to bring for dinner and it was kinda nice to just sit down and eat rather than wait for it to cook. Not that I mind cooking, there’s just s different vibe to not having to wait. I do need to do some more cooking but that’s for tomorrow. I still have a bunch of editing to do because it’s been too long since I published another book.

Today’s Workout: Time to go shopping?

wp-17271304592132707414033359131696

It’d been awhile since I did the different missions in the app and this one is interesting so far. Wouldn’t recommend it to people who don’t like spiders to the point where just hearing about them will bother you but the story of investigating why their god has forsaken this small village is cool.

There’s no pictures of food today but a moment of silence for my favorite workout pants. Apparently, my thighs are too powerful and have destroyed the seams. I dunno if I should bother to get new ones or just use the once I’ve got even though they don’t fit as well as these did. I probably won’t. I’m trying to hold on to as much money as I can because October is always an expensive month for me; with Samhain and NYCC, and other various Fall things. And of course funding my kid’s Call of Duty addiction.

Today’s Workout: Old House

Instead of sleeping in, I talked myself into getting on the treadmill before work and it was worth it. I’m sore but accomplished. I probably didn’t need to also do the desk peddler. It certainly couldn’t hurt to workout twice in one day if I have the time and it doesn’t injure me. I’m glad to be running again especially since I actually pay for the Zombies Run app. I don’t need to be wasting any money.

Here you can see since I started Saxenda again, my weight has been trending down! I don’t have much further to go for my first goal of getting under 200 pounds. I am hoping by putting regular tuns back into my schedule, I’ll hit that goal faster.

For lunch I had one of the Factor meals that I didn’t take a picture of. It was the pork ragu with green beans and I’m kinda shocked that meal was over 500 calories and what I make in the Itaki is less calories. While I do enjoy cooking, Factor does come in handy in a pinch. I don’t always have the time, energy, or ingredients to do big meals.

Today’s Workout: Challenge Day 17

Thanks to the fact I’d made a big dinner last night, I had zero prep time for dinner after coming home and getting right on the treadmill. I’m not entirely happy about the low heart points (or whatever) from the stationary bike earlier in the day but I sure felt it all in my thighs and glutes.

As for the Google Fit issue, the steps still randomly change during the day then if I check in the evening before I go to bed, they all magically show up again. Since I have apps on my phone where I earn points for rewards with my step count, it’s frustrating to miss out on those rewards. I just have to make sure at the end of the night to check them and make sure everything it synched properly. Not the point of a fitness or weight loss journey but, those gift cards that I earn are important in making ends meet.

Either way, two workouts in a day is a lot and I absolutely feel it. I’m pretty sure doing this every day isn’t sustainable. And as for food, I have been loading up on veggies to keep myself full. Again, I am still not eating much more than while on Saxenda and that’s fine. I don’t feel overly hungry but I also don’t miss having to RUN for the bathroom or burp all the time. It’s nice to feel normal-ish again.

Today’s Workouts: Challenge Day 15

If just the peddler isn’t quite enough, then I’ll pair it with C25K. If that gets to be too much for me, then I’ll stop.

So far, even without the Saxenda out of my system. I’m not eating much. After my lunch, I’m not that hungry for dinner but the 30 minute run does spur my appetite a little. Maybe my stomach shrank and I’ll always eat less than I used to? Don’t worry, I don’t plan on becoming one of those people who overworks and ends up injured. I learned my lesson from the multiple times I’ve tried P90X and ending up hurting myself every single damn time. If I’m having an off day, I’ll just to the peddler at work and call it a day.

And fucking GoogleFit is still making my steps vanish. Between walking around like a normal day and my run, I should have had well over 7k steps. Yet, it only says around 4k? That’s some bullshit. Especially since that syncs to my other apps and messes with how many calories I’ve burned in a day. It shouldn’t bother me because obviously I’m at a calorie deficit when it comes to my workouts but it’d be nice if it stopped doing that.

Today’s Workout: Challenge Day 3

wp-17152075832327062099594853859966

When I tell you I hadda make sure I didn’t talk myself out of working out today by walking into the house and getting right into my workout clothes. I am so sore and crampy… I seriously hope once my period is over for this month, my muscles can feel sore for the right reasons.

I completely forgot breakfast and coffee this morning but I managed to muddle through. I ate the last of the salmon and potatoes I made for lunch and a BLT salad for dinner. I was so excited to have half an avocado in there but the ones I got on Monday that were like rocks were already rotten by today. Not happy about that waste but I tossed it in the yard so at least maybe some neighborhood critter can take advantage of it instead of it ending up in a landfill. I just needed something different from tuna or chicken on a salad for a change and I’m trying to clean out my current fridge as I save up for a new one. It’s making a funny noise and I’d like to get ahead of the problem.

And Goggle fit is on some BS right now removing and reinstating my steps. I have enough anxiety, Google; I don’t need your help.

Today’s Workout: This is probably a mistake

wp-17150350652117889624668636536293

Way back, I did a 30 day challenge. I think it was during quarantine when I was working from home where I decided to do 30 minutes of cardio every day for 30 days straight. In the end, I felt stronger, lost weight, and decided I hated it. So, in my infinite wisdom, I look at my phone and see there’s 160-ish days till NYCC. Unlike last year, my planned cosplay is actually modest but I do plan to reuse last year’s for the first two days and it would be nice if it fit better than it did last year. To try and make that happen, why not do a 100 day challenge?

Because clearly, I hate myself and need to punish me.

What better way to kick things off than to continue C25K (week 5). I am still on Saxenda for the time being and after my last blood tests from the doctor, I’ve doubled my vitamins but my plan is 30 minutes of cardio every day in some form for 100 days straight and some sort of body weight or kettlebell or resistance bands 3-4 times a week.

After today’s workout, I am already achy and sore. Probably because I’d spent all my energy last week cleaning, organizing, decluttering, and dealing with various replacements and repairs for my home and car. Oh, and the dentist. Nothing like having some guy drilling in your mouth for over an hour, get no enjoyment out of it, then have to go back once the new bridge is ready. I’m not prone to migraines at all but I sure had one that day…

Anyway, day one in the books. This is going to suck.
