  • R2D2 necklace
  • Millennium Falcon earrings
  • Galactic Empire ring
  • 2018 Star Wars calendar
  • Princess Leia magnet
  • Rey and BB-8 slouchy hat
  • 4×6 art print

Unlike the Justice League bling-bling necklace, the R2D2 necklace isn’t this heavy thing that feels like only a nerdy rapper would wear it. The hat and everything else are fantastic and I love the fact a calendar was included. It’s going right on the wall ASAP. And the magnet, while making me a little sad, felt like a perfect tiny little tribute.

That means this box had me as excited as the previous ones. I put on the earrings immediately; as I have a Darth Vader dress. I am essentially putting together the ultimate geeky wardrobe. I love it.

January Loot Funko Extra: Star Wars Smuggler’s Bounty

This bit of randomness finally arrived at my door the other day. There’s a pin, a patch, mini Boba Fett, Jabba mug, R2D2 Pop, and C3po hat. Even though I don’t usually wear caps, the hat is my favorite. It says “Programmed for Etiquette.” It gave me a chuckle. 🙂

I’m a fan of Star Wars but not big enough not to pass these on to people who love it MUCH more than I do. I know they will get a kick out of it. But not the hat. That I’m keeping.

Finally Watched It: “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”

Three decades after the defeat of the Galactic Empire, a new threat arises. The First Order attempts to rule the galaxy and only a ragtag group of heroes can stop them, along with the help of the Resistance.

I am SO sick of the slackjawed expressions I get when I say I haven’t seen this movie so here it is. At just 15 minutes in, I already get the sense that in rebooting this series, this movie mirrors Luke’s journey but kicks off it’s training wheels. All the effects are really well done, Fin and Ray are funny and yes, this is a fun time. I find it hearkens back to the wonder and coolness of watching the original movies for the first time as a kid but I can appreciate more things as an adult.

As a total aside, I don’t get why the Ghostbusters reboot got so much hate but this one didn’t. I had fun watching both… But that’s a gripe for another time.
