Kyoya ends up tutoring Lena, Erika’s younger cousin and between her brattiness and Kyoya’s attitude, they naturally clash but when Kyoya rescues Lena from a guy who just won’t take no for an answer, Lena develops feelings for him.

It’s interesting that in this case, Kyoya doesn’t use is acerbic personality to outright reject Lena because he clearly knows exactly what’s going on. I know Erika asked him to be nicer but he never listened before so, good on him for this slight character development. I am slowly peeling away my intense dislike for him considering how this series started. 3.7 out of 5.

After a confession, Kawasumi’s crush on Suiren becomes common knowledge and while she reciprocates, Kawasumi’s next obstacle is not only his complete lack of knowledge of how dating works but meeting Suiren’s parents.

Man, as cute as our main couple is, this volume makes me so damn happy I’m not in high school anymore. Since this isn’t one of those super depressing manga, I doubt this will lean hard into any real bullying from the other students like in a lot of other stories where what you’re looking at isn’t so much bullying as several violations of the Geneva Convention… Legit torture… But, there are plenty of other ways they can make Suiren and Kawasumi’s lives harder as the couple figure this whole romance thing out. 3 out of 5.

On the School trip to Nagasaki, Satomi and Yagyu & Mira and Noda ponder what the future holds for them as they go into their final year of high school.

The ending is really sweet for these kids and makes for a low angst romantic series for those who like their teen romances fairly light and happy; complete with a happily ever after. It doesn’t go too far into their future but what we see is just enough to provide a satisfying ending as it is. 3.7 out of 5.

Despite the disappointment of the viewing party, Nakami and Isaki pivot to finding the perfect shot for the photo contest and head out with Isaki’s sister, Haya, to get some good pictures of the sky. All is going fairly well until Haya goes off with her boyfriend leaving the two of them alone.

Along with our couple just being fucking adorable, we learn more about Magari’s childhood and how Isaki’s insomnia started. They’re sadly relatable and make you hope they can find peace in the future. Other than that, it’s a relaxing read; not too much drama when Haya’s involved, which I’m glad about. I like the tone of this series and I hope it doesn’t change into something either too angsty, too overblown with drama, or too dark. 4 out of 5.

On the senior school trip, both Mochizuki and Natsuki want to confess their feelings to Anna but in the process, Mochizuki contemplates why he feels the way he does about Anna.

This is mostly the two boys trying to get Anna alone as the girl is completely oblivious to their attentions. It’s pretty fun to read as these characters try to work things out so it’s better than some other volumes as a successful, cute, YA romance. 3.7 out of 5.

One of Morio’s ex’s runs in to him and Yukiko on a date and while Yukiko wonders about Morio’s past as this is her first relationship, but he’s hesitant to tell his new love about his past.

It was sweet to see Yukiko and Morio get closer and understanding each other in new ways, especially since Yukiko has never felt this way about anyone before. The addition of Morio and Aono bonding about how Morio feels about his friend, Hachiko, dating now was fun; especially considering she’s still in love with Morio but trying to move on. It’s all very insightful and touching. 4.7 out of 5.

While on the class trip to Kyoto, Kubo and Shiraishi both work up the courage to finally confess their feelings to each other.

This is the perfect sweet ending to the series. As fun as it is to see them interact or in Kubo’s case struggle to interact with others; there does come a time where it would get repetitive and it’s best to stop on a high note. Overall, Kubo and Shiraishi are a sweet couple to follow and I think the point this series ends on is just perfect. It’s a clean, heartwarming little YA romance that made me smile and if you like this genre, I think it will make you smile, too. 4 out of 5.

Erika is excited to spend summer break with Kyoya and makes a bunch of plans only to end up spending time with Kyoya’s family; his mother and sister, and working at a cafe to help drum up some business.

I wouldn’t call Kyoya a green flag just yet. He’s coming around from the issues he clearly needs to work through but he’s not as mean and aggressive as he has been. I can actually enjoy them interacting, the little misadventures, and their relationship in general without that ick making me want to scream at Erika to run in the opposite direction as fast as she can. She still needs to come down out of the clouds a bit and, in my opinion, the maid cafe thing was dumb and forced. It can be funny but here, it was silly. 3 out of 5.

Saku gets her meeting with Ryosuke to thank him for saving her only to discover it wasn’t him after all. With her feelings a mess, she finds comfort and support in Ryosuke’s brother, Haruki who has been by her side the whole time.

Saku is just adorable. In fact, the main characters are really cute and their dynamic makes for a cozy read. Well, most of them. You’ll see when you read this. While it may be a fairly standard young adult romance, the art is beautiful and expressive. I hope it keeps it’s light-hearted tone and doesn’t go where I think the ending is hinting. 4 out of 5.

Suiren and Kawasumi walk home together and as they spend more time with each other, Suiren is getting more confident. She’s more vocal in front of others and gaining more courage to do things like ask Kawasumi to meet up with her more often.

Kawasumi’s fumbling is so natural and completely in character. I like his gradual progress towards opening up more and getting closer to Suiren, It’s sweet and if you like stories of bumbling young love, this is a chill manga to read. 3.9 out of 5.
