In celebration of the cover reveal of Lost Brother, I have updated ALL the covers for the First Brood series!
And for shits and giggles, I updated three other books, too:
Since “Lost Brother” is in its final stages of revision, here is the cover to celebrate! 😀
This book is scarier than the previous two so stay tuned! The book will be out very soon.
I’m gonna come right out and say it: This year STANK. 2017 can kiss my ass. But in a grand tradition of me giving the middle finger to adversity, I’m already looking ahead to what I want to accomplish next year:
It has always bothered me that I can’t do a single pull up. Since I’ve been kicking ass at my fitness goals anyway, I can’t say this is pushing myself too hard. Same thing with the running. I’m doing it anyway, why not take it the next logical step forward. It’s not like I plan to do any crazy ultra-marathons or anything, I just would like to try and hit that distance.
As for the other two, I did that little experiment of writing during the week and typing or editing only on weekends and I found I was able to crank out work fairly quickly. The stuff I’ve mainly been working on pushes the 200 page mark so it seems feasible to make it a goal to write many shorter stories over the course of the year. Personally, I’d like to bump up my total bibliography from 8 books to 20 or more but that’s just a shot in the dark.
Lastly, my book piles are getting worse than insane. I can still walk around in my room, I still have space to workout but that space is getting smaller and smaller. I’m officially on a mission to read and remove more books than I take in. This will be VERY difficult since it is disgustingly easy for me to find free books AND I work in a library; which is akin to an addict working in a heroin factory. But, I will really try this year to clean off both e-readers and get rid of all the books in my bedroom.
Yeah, I have a book problem and I’m not ashamed to admit it.
Anyways, I think that’s a good place to start to make 2018 better than 2017. Although with how shitty this year was, it can only go up from here.
Yup. Best box ever. What else can I say? It has an AWESOME shirt big enough for me to sleep in, great figures, a journal, buttons, and OMG BARB!!! It may be a little morbid but man, is that plushie cute!
I am broke as hell and shouldn’t have spent the money on this but it was worth every freaking penny and more. It has all of my favorite types of items with creative designs and you can’t go wrong with the theme.
Well, I can think of ways it could go terribly wrong but it didn’t so, YAY!
They had me at Voltron ugly Christmas shirt…
So, this is my second VNV credit thing, which I shall also give away to someone and I will also likely pass along the Widowmaker Pop to a real fan of the game. Don’t get me wrong, these things are awesome but I don’t feel deserving of them as I’m not really interested in them. That’s the cool thing about this is I can give them as gifts. ^_^
I do think they could have been a teeesnie bit more creative with the theme title tho. This is the littlest of nitpicks but yeah, I think they should have brainstormed a different name instead of just adding 2.0. Power Teams maybe?
That Voltron shirt redeems all, though.
I know I usually don’t bother with the posters but I really liked the design of this one because it involves the best things in life: pets, books, and cardigans. This poster is librarian approved.
Overall, this is a cute selection of stuff. The little pig thing kinda freaked me out. It’s the biggest eraser I’ve ever owned…
Puella Madoka Magica is the only property I’m familiar with in this box. One day I’ll get around to Seven Deadly Sins but I couldn’t get into One Piece. I’ll probably pass this one on to a real fan along with the credit for the VRV anime service. I barely have time for the media I consume NOW, I refuse to add another.
Unlike the Justice League bling-bling necklace, the R2D2 necklace isn’t this heavy thing that feels like only a nerdy rapper would wear it. The hat and everything else are fantastic and I love the fact a calendar was included. It’s going right on the wall ASAP. And the magnet, while making me a little sad, felt like a perfect tiny little tribute.
That means this box had me as excited as the previous ones. I put on the earrings immediately; as I have a Darth Vader dress. I am essentially putting together the ultimate geeky wardrobe. I love it.
The awesome folks over at SuBLime have announced the release of a new title: A Strange and Mystifying Story. The lovely cover and press release are below! 😀

In A STRANGE AND MYSTIFYING STORY a man named Akio Yamane falls terminally ill, presumably from his family’s curse. Remembering his grandfather’s final words about their family protector, he looks to where his grandfather pointed and finds a tooth. Upon holding it, he accidentally summons a god who promises to cure him, albeit in a rather odd and intimate manner!
“Fans have requested that SuBLime pick up and finish releasing all volumes of this series, and we are excited to add A STRANGE AND MYSTIFYING STORY to the SuBLime catalog. We will make the series available in its entirety,” says Hope Donovan, Managing Editor. “Readers will not want to miss what happens as the relationship heats up between a deity and this seemingly cursed, but decidedly handsome, man.”
A STRANGE AND MYSTIFYING STORY is Tsuta Suzuki’s second English-language release, with her first being Your Story I’ve Known. Formerly working under the penname, “Yogore,” she has also published doujinshi (independent comics) under the circle name “Muddy Pool.” Readers can find out more about Tsuta Suzuki on her Pixiv page: Pixiv.net.

As I make the rounds on the Internet and wade through all the author newsletters I signed up for, I come across a decent amount of giveaways. Most of them don’t amount to much but this time I scored this set from a giveaway on Hank Quense’s site! It’s not as if I am running out of things to read (with only 11 MB of space left on my kindle…) but this is a pretty sweet score. Hopefully, they will help me take my self-publishing to another level!
This isn’t a bad collection but my favorite is the soap. It has a nice mild smell; not too overpowering. Although I do wonder if I can use the brow pencil as eyeliner since I don’t have any eyebrow issues but failing that, I’m sure I can find someone who will take it off my hands.
I’ve been getting a decent amount of anti-aging products and honestly, they all seem to be working for me in a very general sense. I can’t say I’ve noticed any major changes in my skin and I’ve always been told I either look my age or younger for the simple fact I take really good care of my skin aside for using anti-aging products. But a cashier recently told me I look 26 so something must be working. XD
