Cover Reveal: Gods in the Grey City 2

My Camp NaNoWriMo project was a sequel to this book

Gods in the Grey City Lenni A.

  • Ciro buys more than he bargained for when he purchases a slave capable of bypassing the brand on her magic. He drags her on a journey with him to learn her secrets, but his own may kill them both.
and I’m almost done editing! So, it’s time for a cover reveal. I’m still working on a blurb but I’m saving that for when the manuscript is ready to publish when it’s cleaner and passes the “does this make any sense’ test. That’s my project for the week so, expect more info on this book soon!

I am working on a new series that I plan to release in episodes (then in collections when there’s enough of them) that’s a dark fantasy series. And above is the new cover! I don’t want to say much about it since I want the three fans I have to be surprised but it will be about dead people.

Because I’m sure you can’t guess that from the title.

New Short Story Cover Reveal

Lenni-72dpi-1500x2000 (2)

Long ago in a submission call far away, I wrote a lesbian thriller story. A nice clean one, not like Sunburn (also at Amazon, B&N, and Kobo and SUPER 18+). While I did get accepted, I never did hear anything back about when the collection would come out and well, it’s been a very long time.

I rediscovered this story while going through some folders on my flash drive to clean some junk files out. When I saw this I felt it was just a shame that it was sitting there doing nothing so, it has a shiny new cover and some new edits.

Am I counting this towards my one story a month goal? Yes, yes I am. Because I did have to re-edit the whole thing and that pretty cover cost me some coin. I know I did say the goal was a finished story every month but not publishing every month but hey, I need the cash and people need more stories!

I hope you enjoy and leave a review.

What does your book say about you?

I am a very eclectic reader (as you can see by my Shelfari account). If the concept interests me in the slightest, I’ll give the book a try. Right now, I’m reading You Make Me Wanna. As a Black woman, I like reading stories about other Black women when they aren’t street lit and the bonus is they are lesbian characters who are not stereotypes. It’s a cute story and I’m enjoying it.

So, I’m sitting and reading and two women are having this wordless conversation with their eyes, gesturing between each other and myself, and the cover of my book. Bear in mind, what I have is a library copy with this huge interloan sticker on the front so most of the cover image is obscured. You can still get the gist apparently.

Nobody batted an eye when I was pouring through those bodice ripper romance romance novels, or the giant epic fantasy series, or the gay pirate books (no provocative cover there) but all of a sudden a picture of a woman feeding another woman a strawberry is a big fat fucking deal.

So, when you see someone reading, do you judge them by what is on the cover?
