Today’s Workout: Folded Burger?

wp-1690843273479

I’m continuing with the desk bike for now while it’s still hot. Which is funny since my office is always cold and it warms me up. Now that Camp NaNoWriMo is over, I can get more steps in my day to add to my activity.

For lunch I had leftover Chinese but for dinner, I tried my hand at that tortilla hack again this time making a burger type thing. I still overfilled it a bit but it didn’t completely fall apart like the last time I made it. And the child enjoyed it! I used a whole wheat tortilla and a few almond slices in there. Did I need bacon? No, but I wanted it and it was delicious. It’s a fun little thing to do and I can see why people do it. I bet I could make a killer breakfast this way.

Today’s Workout: Summer Slump

wp-1689625271730

Ugh, I am so over summer. The even in the air conditioning, the humidity is just miserable. I have a major case of the dunwannas just all the time. It’s taking way too much effort to get motivated these days.

Even though I’m not feeling motivated, I did get up early enough to make myself some breakfast. I’m gonna have to make this a regular habit as not only did I not feel faint or anything, I didn’t feel like I was starving once lunch rolled around. Same goes with dinner; which had some spinach in my normal salad to get some extra iron. I am taking a multivitamin with extra omega 3 as my doctor advised as well. All of this work isn’t just about losing weight, it’s about staying healthy as I age. The last thing I want is to end up barely mobile and on a bunch of meds.

Today’s Workout: Not bad…

wp-1689274651344

It was kinda easy to do the Wirk Peddler today. I think I need to up my speed since it’s already on the highest resistance.

It was a regular type day for food. Not every day comes along with some big revelation or anything particularly interesting. Especially since I’m doing all this writing, that’s basically all that’s on my brain these days. I’m usually on the ball with things like dusting, sweeping the floors, and laundry but I’ve fallen behind. I do have some time off coming up after Camp NaNoWriMo is over so, I’ll be able to catch up then.

Today’s Workout: Yeah, I’m crazy

wp-1689270671702

I know it’s shorter than normal but the Saxenda kicked in and I figured as long as it’s over 30 minutes, I’m good.

I don’t know what I was thinking putting the oven on for dinner. I must have lost my mind… But I had salmon and baby broccoli. I saved the rest of the salmon for lunch tomorrow.

I got my blood results back and looking at them in my unprofessional opinion, I’m anemic? I can see that. I was on my period when I had my blood drawn and I was feeling a little weak. I guess I need to make sure to get enough vitamins in general since I’m not eating very much.

Today’s Workout: Fingers crossed!

I had an appointment with my doctor today and pending the results of my blood tests, she says she can tell I’m losing weight just from my face. I am really hopeful that my triglycerides will be better. I know a few things may be off since I’m on my period (I actually feel anemic) but I bet the doctor will have some positive things to say about my levels.

I tried a little something different with my lunch today by using those Trader Joe’s squiggly noodles instead of plain ramen noodles and it was meh. They took longer to cook, were kinda chewy, and left me feeling over full. I ended up making popcorn for dinner (also, it’s fast to make so I could get to writing).

I have my follow up appointment in a few weeks so, let’s all hope there’s good news.

Today’s Workout: So close

wp-1689014057237

It’s really frustrating me that I’m still stuck at around 202 pounds. I know slow and steady is the best way to do it but ugh! Not to mention I’m stressed the fuck out from Camp NaNoWriMo (although, the story is coming together nicely) so, this month is going to be interesting.

Yesterday, I made some pasta with diced onions and saved some for lunch and for dinner, I had a nice salad. I switched to a low sodium version of season salt since I’m trying to control my sodium intake (and honestly, not doing very well on that).

Since I’m spending a ton of time writing, I am trying to move more. It was a fairly busy day at work, I parked further away to get more steps in, and I listen to my movement reminder to make sure I’m not sitting the entire day. Stretching has been a lifesaver this month with all the time spent typing. I don’t want to end up with tendonitis again.

Today’s Workout: I’m tryin

wp-1688577719802

I’m doing Camp NaNoWriMo and it is always a frenzy in my brain when I try to do this challenge. I am trying to fit in my workouts wherever I can while I try to hit my word goals every day. Its a wild ride, let me tell ya.

If you’re on my Instagram, you probably saw the massive burger I made. I made 4 patties and saved the rest for later and picked out some of those leftovers for lunch today. I figured a salad was a good way to balance out all that meat and cheese. For dinner I must have been delusional because despite how hot it was, I decided that boiled noodles and bok choy were what I wanted to eat. I don’t know what made me think I should put the stove on for any reason but, I did. It was really good and comforting for right before I had to park it in front of the Freewrite for the rest of the night.

Today’s Workout: Meat

wp-1687896898963

More Wirk Peddler today. It was also a day for me to take a walk up to the store to get some more broccoli since I was out of it. A family size bag is $5.99 and I get at least 4 meals out of it. Not a bad deal.

I added tuna to my salad for lunch and I wasn’t as ravenous when dinner rolled around. I was feeling carnivorous so I busted out the grill pan and made myself some steak. I ended up not finishing it so dinner will be easy tomorrow.

I have to keep working on my Camp NaNoWriMo outline which means I may not be able to get the kettlebell in. That’s ok, I was pretty active today! My movement reminder barely went off and my legs feel the good type of sore. I did have a bit too much salt though.

Today’s Workout: I got lazy.

Although I have been working out – either by taking walks or my desk peddler – I did get lazy about posting. I had a major case of the dunwannas whenever it came down to working on the blog. But, I’m back and I’m gonna try to make sure I post.

Today was the desk peddler for 40 minutes or so and since I kept saying ‘oh, I’m gonna do more weights’ and forgetting about it, I moved my kettlebell into my office at home so it’s right in my face and I can do some reps while I prep my outline for Camp NaNoWriMo.

For lunch I made myself a salad and I’m probably going to do the same tomorrow but I need to add a protein to this. I was starving by the time I got home. I did have leftover baked chicken wings for dinner but I fucked up the picture. My steps were a bit low for the day but I think it was a success. I feel like I’m being fairly consistent (if not being consistent with my posting).

Today’s Workout: A long one

wp-1686241362404

This walk was longer since my nerdy ass wanted to get in some Pokemon Go before I walked up to the grocery store. Yes, I still play, let me have some joy in the hellscape of a world we live in.

wp-1686241317357

This time I added some sardines to change it up from tuna. It’s still a while before I get my bloodwork done again and see about those triglycerides but I’m still eating my good fats (as you can see the avocado in there) and I just thought radishes would be nice.

I promise not just weight loss stuff will get posted soon. I am thinking about doing Camp NaNoWriMo in July so, if there’s a series you’ve read from me that you’d like me to continue, feel free to drop a comment.
