Oh yes, this one is a 2 for 1. Because man, shit gets real.
Between these two volumes we find out why Bishamonten hates Yato so much and why he is known as a killer. Kugaha’s plot is revealed, Yato, Hiyori, and Yukini help with the battle and WOW were there a bunch of casualties. And the battle starts in one volume and continues in the next, hence why I couldn’t stop between books to review them separately.
As volume 6 ended, I was really left wondering if Bishamonten would learn her lesson about jumping to conclusions or ignoring her pain. I suppose the latter volumes will have to tell me but the fact that I could not stop reading long enough to write a review between volumes says it all. Well written characters, tight storytelling… Just wow. I’m hooked on this series.
