Fangirl Loot Crate

I was a little leery of this crate, to be honest. I was concerned it would be pandering nonsense but I actually love all this stuff!

  • DC Bombshell figure
  • Star Trek purse
  • Fangirls coloring book (it also came with tiny pencils)
  • Marvel women dress

And yes, those are tiny tribbles on the purse! Tiny tribbles!! I’m in love with it. The dress is fantastic and fits like a dream, the figure is cute, and if you’ve been on my Instagram lately, I have been practicing my coloring with coloring books so it’s just an all around useful and fun box. I’m so glad I got this!

July Loot Crate: Futuristic

  • 4001 AD comic

I’m not exactly in love with this one. There’s just one thing that made me super excited and that’s the Star Trek pin. Other than that, I already gave away the t-shirt and the rest will probably end up on eBay.

Hopefully next month will be better.

June Loot Crate Anime: Victory

No, I don’t get why I get these so late in the month… By the time they ship and actually arrive at my door, the month’s already over. Ah well…

This month includes:

  • Sohoku shirt
  • Victory poster
  • Color changing water bottle
  • Trophy charm
  • Free Luggage tag
  • Splatoon squid… thing…
  • Yowamushi Pedal vol 1

Man, did this box get me wanting my bike. Not that I was a racer or anything; I just liked doing it. I will have to get back to it and wear that shirt on the ride. For the lulz, of course.

I’m always a fan of water bottles (I have a system where I use my Brita to filter the water, then fill up a bunch of water bottles to put in the fridge instead of just the Brita container in order to eliminate arguments about who put the thing back in the fridge empty), the luggage tag with come in handy but… That squid thing? Gave it to the kid since she had to identify it for me.

The manga is ok, I guess. I tried to read it and kinda got bored but, to be fair, I wasn’t exactly in the mood for it. I’ll give it another honest shot and review it for you guys.

Overall, this box was meh as the theme in general isn’t something I would get excited over – like the Miku box – but it’s still stuff I can enjoy.

June Loot Crate: Dystopian

In this box:

  • Robocop shirt

These boxes have been on point with the shirts this month. I think the only thing I outright don’t want int his box is the puzzle. I’m just not a puzzle person. It’s all good. Anything I don’t want or can’t use I sell on eBay since I am doing my level best to clear out my clutter.

I was hoping for something a little bigger from Bioshock, since I’m a bigger fan of that than Fallout but the key is pretty. Overall, very pleased!

May 2016 Loot Anime Crate: Unity

This one came in a little late. But what we have here is swag from:

  • Fullmetal Alchemist
  • Dragonball Z
  • The Boy and the Beast

My kid is more into Yo-Kai Hunter than I am so, guess who gets a new shirt? This crate is pretty cool overall even if I’m not as into these series as I could or want to be. But it’s awesome that I can share these with my kid and give her things from series she’s a fan of. How many shirts can I really wear, after all?

All in all, very cool. June’s theme is supposed to be Victory so there should be some kick ass stuff in there too.

May Loot Crate: Power

This crate contains:

  • Galactus Infinity Gauntlet potholder
  • World of Warcraft t-shirt
  • Hulk Q-Fig
  • Dragon Ball Z squishy ball with a dragon on it

I actually emitted a nerd girl squee when I saw that potholder! This is my favorite item from this box. I can’t wait to use it this Memorial Day weekend while I bbq. I do plan to see the World of Warcraft movie even though I’m not into the game. I just think it’s cool, I want to support it, and if it does well, I’m hoping for more good video game movies (that aren’t effing Angry Birds…).

I think I would have liked to see a Loki staff keychain or something like that or some sort of item from another fandom. Maybe a spellbook or wand… It just seemed a little light on stuff this month. But man, that Infinity Gauntlet… Effing awesome! 😀

May Anime Loot Crate: Music

This box contains:

I am totally in love with that blanket. It’s small, more for your lap than anything else. But it’s still really cute. And again, a subscription box anticipates my needs as I’ve been needing new ear buds. we’ll see how long they last. I have a tendency to destroy them.

I’ll review the manga when I get around to reading it. Shouldn’t take to too long. I’m in the middle of this steampunk demon book.

I have been wondering what I’m going to do with all these t-shirts! You can only wear one a day, you know. Or maybe I’ll be the otaku of the gym…

Who am I kidding? I don’t have money for a gym. Guess I’ll just have to double up!

April Anime Loot Crate: Duel

April Loot Crate: Quest

This month we’ve got:

I think my favorite item this month is the ice mold. I can see it getting annoying to make more than one but it would be so cool to have that in a nice glass of iced tea. It’s just awesome!

Firefly Loot Crate

 

Ok, I gotta admit I didn’t know what to expect from this crate but I am loving what I have. There’s a teddy bear, some drink umbrellas, bookmarks, magazine, statue, mystery figure (that I still haven’t opened), collectible cards, and sketches of the ship.

Lately, I’ve been thinking of adding a shelf in my office for all this cool swag I’m getting. I am so glad this series hasn’t been forgotten about and I would love to have this stuff on display for when (of if I ever) I start doing vlogs or any sort of video. I do have a YouTube account floating around out there… But to stay on topic, I am really curious to see what other stuff Loot Crate has to send me for this show. I would have liked a full-size umbrella (wink, wink, nudge, nudge) but this subscription box is awesome so far and I can’t wait to see what comes next.
