Today’s Workout: New spice obsession!

Just to spare my joints, I’m taking some long walking days. It’s decent cardio and I can catch up on shows everyone keeps telling me I HAVE to watch (I’m working my way through Supernatural) and my never-ending Watch Later list on YouTube. I may even start writing on the walking days on the treadmill because it’s much easier to squeeze in a few words here and there when I’m not intensely running. Maybe some reading as well since I’m caught up with my ARCs but behind on my other reading.

I’m still doing good when it comes to fruit and prepping different lunches for some variety. Dinner had to be smaller since the medication is doing its job and I had some delicious little tomatoes I had to use up. My latest discovery has been Spicy Pink Salt with Crushed Red Chili Pepper. This shit is AMAZING on the fish and the cracked out tuna salad I made for dinner. I have to be careful with it because I’m not supposed to be eating too much salt anyway and the spice isn’t fooling around but wow. I hope they don’t discontinue this anytime soon because I’m gonna stock up.

Today’s Workouts: Make it a double

I had to get some light bulbs and bok choy (since Misfits Market ran out or something since they refunded me) so, one of my workouts was a quick walk to the store. After dinner, I got on the desk bike so I could get some writing done while I did my cardio. It felt pretty good to get in two workouts in a day but I don’t know if I would do that every single day. I still worry about overdoing it and ending up injured.

As for food, it was another round of leftovers for lunch and a salad for dinner. Not really picture worthy, to be honest. Unless you want repeated pictures of the same bowl of pasta I’m working on since the Saxenda won’t let me over eat. Later on in the week, I’ll make sure to do more weights. My arms are looking okay but I’d like to see more definition and build my strength up some more.

Today’s Workouts: Moving around more

In addition to the desk bike, I had to pop over to the store to get the ingredients to make that steak sandwich again. The kid really liked it and avocados were on sale.

I thought that doing the bike and talking that walk would be too much but I was ok! And getting in those extra steps is always good. I just feel a little sore from the kettlebell yesterday and carrying the heavy grocery bag on my shoulder on the walk back. I saw some canned stuff on sale and the kid has been whining that I haven’t made meat sauce in awhile. So, I guess that’s how I’ll be spending my weekend.

Today’s Workout: Bad Timing

wp-1654022811279

I was asked to make a gift that needed to be mailed right away so, of course I pick a 90 degree day to walk to the post office on my lunch break. It was NOT fun but once I’d cooled off and actually eaten, I felt ok!

I’ll post what I made once the package gets to it’s destination but I do have a few items to add to my shop that I’ll be posting very soon. And I have plenty of reviews to make up for so the blog will be poppin.

Dahlia 3 has gone through the final red pen stage and I’ll be posting the first two parts on Patreon once they’re polished and as soon as I know a release date, I’ll let you guys know.

Today’s Workouts: Multitasking Fail

wp-1652886349923

You can tell from the heart points that I never really got my heart rate up to where I was actually burning any fat. I was talking to people, checking orders, emails, messages, all sorts of stuff for work while I was trying to pedal so, I wasn’t going as hard as I could consistently. It’s better than sitting but not by much.

I did make a trip to the farmer’s market on my lunch break so I could hit up the little Italian stand for broccoli rabe ravioli and small batch marinara to have for dinner tonight. I spent more than I wanted to (because they also had small blocks of parmesan cheese and I needed some for Caesar salads) but I haven’t been to this market since before COVID and I want to support it.

I didn’t take any pictures of it before I snarfed it down. You’ll just have to imagine it.

Today’s Workout: Lunch Walk

I had a random craving for some carbs and cheese so I went to the store on my lunch break to get some crushed tomatoes and mozzarella for dinner. Luckily for me, both items were on sale. A shame I didn’t have any cabernet to add to the sauce but this wasn’t a simmer for an hour type of evening. This was a get that food cooked in 30 minutes so I can go up to my office and write kind of day.

It was enough to satisfy my craving but it reminded me that I should batch cook some sauce at some point. And balanced out with a salad for lunch, I had a good caloric day! Even with nibbling on those homemade chips I made.

Those are addicting for me, now.

Today’s Workout: Back on my feet!

wp-1630585290389.png

I did it! Sorta… I got up earlier but not as early as I wanted. I was able to get in a powerwalk and prep lunch and dinner so my calories were planned out for the rest of the day

It felt good to get on the treadmill again. I’m gonna work my way back up to form and finish C25K before the end of the year. I’m hoping running will get easier as I drop more weight. Less stress on my knees and ankles could help me level up to C210K much easier.

My weight hasn’t moved but I’m coming up on Shark Week so that’s normal. I’m probably retaining a bunch of water due to hormones and craving more salt. I’ll have to be patient about the scale moving in the right direction again.
