Today’s Workout: Blerg.

Since I had to get my taxes done after work, I wouldn’t have time for a run and did the desk peddler instead. I could have used the endorphins to cheer me up because no refund for me this year but ah well.

I’ve been good about having something for breakfast regularly, even if it’s small. Over the weekend, I made pulled pork and had some rice and broccoli with it. By dinner, I was depressed about my taxes and didn’t want the hassle of real cooking. I did ponder getting a second job but I have no idea where that would fit into my life.

Today’s Workout: Free bagel!

This was one of those biking sessions where I just ignored the clock for most of it and did other things to keep me from watching the clock. I find it all goes faster that way and feels more productive. It was a good idea to have a day off from running to keep from overwhelming my legs but keep my muscles working.

Since there was a staff meeting this morning, I snagged a bagel for breakfast but after that and my usual lunch, I didn’t want anything for dinner. I was very full which kinda threw me off schedule wise. I’m not used to that many calories early in the day anymore but it didn’t effect my body later in the evening. I’ll probably sleep just fine… Or as fine as I usually do when I stay up too late working on my side gigs.

Today’s Workout: Blink and…

Yeah, sometimes these workouts just fly by. I was trying to focus on using my thigh muscles instead of my calves. I always feel the run more in my calves and I wanna spread the love. Or rather, soreness. Next thing I know, the episode was over!

I was gonna rotate that cake I had for breakfast but meh. I didn’t eat the whole thing. Once I saw it was over 300 calories, I broke it in half and saved the rest for another day. Lunch was my usual and I saw that Weee Asian Grocery had some amazing deals on various types of lettuce. I cut up a head of red leaf lettuce and added some tuna, onion, olive oil, and red wine vinegar. I go back and forth wanting lemon juice or vinegar in my salads. Depends on my mood I guess? I tend to get picky with salad dressings and would rather not use them.

Today’s Workout: Oof…

Yeah, I wasn’t feeling the treadmill today. I needed a break from it so, desk peddler it is! And I had errands to run meaning I got plenty of steps in.

I haddn’t prepped anything for lunch so I once again had the fleeting thought of trying out something I used to eat an forgetting why its in the USED TO category. That Lean Cuisine was so tasteless. I would have gotten more enjoyment out of eating the box. Dinner was much more enjoyable. Totally made up for it. Even though it was a cold and snowy evening, I had a productive day.

Today’s Workout: Back At It!

Not every day is gonna be two workouts. I was more covering my ass if something happened and I didn’t run after I got home. I didn’t use any app but Zombies Run and did a simple walk 5 min, run 5 min until I hit the 30 minute mark. I haven’t run since November and I need to built back my endurance.

I don’t care if it’s cringe but yes, I have a Gamer Supps shaker cup and I’ve been using it to have a protein shake in the mornings. I put half a packet of Death Wish instant coffee in it as a pick me up. I think the full packet would launch me into space. Lunch was leftovers from last night’s dinner and dinner was some leftover fries from the weekend’s take out. It felt so good to be on the treadmill again. I think I’m just overall happier with running in my life.

Today’s Workout: Battery Life

For some reason my watch went from 100 percent when I got up to 19 percent by the time I wanted to track this workout so this heartrate is a guess. I have no idea if it’s accurate. I mean, in the long run all that matters is doing SOMETHING but still, there’s the full disclosure.

I had a handful of pistachios left so I nabbed those for breakfast. Lunch was leftover pasta and homemade meat sauce and I was so tired by dinner, I just had rice and broccolini. I did bake fish but I put that away for tomorrow. I just wasn’t hungry enough to add fish to what I was already eating. Not particularly exciting, I know. I’ve been tired ever since I got my flu and COVID shots at the same time.

Today’s Workout: Dang it…

I’ve been talking around getting back into running and while I have c25k, I went to download c210k, feeling particularly ambitious. And I thought it was a glitch that after the first few runs, you have to pay for the pro version. I’m thinking I did something wrong and nope! I went to the reviews and it’s been changed. Back in 2020 during lockdown, I was doing it just fine for free. I don’t mind having to watch ads or whatever but nah, I’m not paying for that. I already pay for Zombies Run. I’ll just use their 5k and 10k trainer.

I was out of the things I usually use for my Itaki and I worked late so I brought some low-sodium ramen for lunch and made salad for dinner. I wasn’t ambitious enough to get up and make anything for breakfast; I just slept in and I have no regrets about it.

Today’s Workout: Good News!

On Monday I went to see the podiatrist about the weird toenails I have and she strongly advised me not to do any permanent toenail removal unless they are causing me pain or other issues. It would be too much pain, risk, and trauma to the tissue for it to really be worth it to remove them all as a preventative measure for a problem that may not happen for decades. So, I’m not getting that surgery and I can get back to running whenever I want! I’ll probably just to c25k again. That seems to be what’s the most effective and convenient time-wise. I just need to make sure to tweak my schedule to make sure I have time in the evenings.

Now, as for food, I remembered breakfast but when time came around for lunch, I could only take a few bites before I had to put it away and have it for dinner. I mean, the Saxenda is doing the job but it was still strange. I’m usually starving by lunchtime. I did have stronger coffee than normal. That might have done it.

Today’s Workout: Long Month

I’m hardly the only one who feels like “What a year this month has been.” I haven’t lost much weight but I did lose what I’d gained over the holidays and I’m sure I can keep things on a downward trend.

I get a lot of complements at work about what I make for lunch. Apparently the smell goes everywhere but people like it! I may have to post exactly what I use and how much (even though I don’t measure, I wing it) so if people want to replicate it, they can. It’s so easy and I’m sure can be made without an Itaki to cook it in. For dinner I at the rest of that flatbread, which attracted my kid. Looks like that item has another fan.

Today’s Workout: Dealing With Dinner

Lately, I’ve been just letting my mind wander while I do the desk peddler so I don’t focus on time. My legs just go and eventually, I think to check my watch. I still miss running but I can tell the muscles in my thighs are getting a workout. I see the definition slowly forming.

Now that I’ve been remembering to eat breakfast, I am not that hungry once dinner rolls around. You’d think 60 or so calories wouldn’t make much of a difference but it still shocks me. It shouldn’t since I’ve been on Saxenda for so long but still. For dinner, I had a different and much better Trader Joe’s offering. Of course, I couldn’t finish the whole thing. I had half and the rest will be for tomorrow. I dunno why I’m in this mood in the evenings now where I just don’t want to be bothered making anything. As long as I keep my activity up and my calories low, I think I’m doing just fine even if I don’t slave over a stove every day.
