In this volume, we get to learn a little about Yukine, who is Yato’s new Shinki. We get some hints as to what his life may have been like and what his new abilities are. Yato also runs into some old friends and enemies as some of his own past is revealed.
Volume 2 picks up on the action and the feels; giving us a chance to get to know everyone better. There are a couple plot threads that are started, which I will try not to spoil. Yato’s done some gnarly shit in his past and the bad habits Yukine may have had when he was alive have been magnified now that he’s dead and been made a Shinki. We even get to meet some other gods and see what they’re like and how Yato could be living if he was able to accomplish his goals. And that hot woman on the cover is indeed in this volume and she kicks ass. Can’t wait to see more of her in the next volume since this one ends on a bit of a cliffhanger.
